@Ice:
Thanks for the feedback guys.
The link on the first post does not work. Where can I get the latest version of this tool? I must admit I have not read all pages.Thx for the headsup! Seems Dropbox changed how they form the urls. Does it work now?

Nope, still 404 error.
The share and public folder setup, and thus links have changed.
My experienced when this is your setup, is to create a new folder with proper, new settings. Trying to get the old folders act the correct way is problematic. -

Really need to have a repository for this I think v7 was latest stable, v6 was same but with older version of the server touchdown app which didn’t work anymore, and v8 was a change which didn’t fully work yet. -
Got it, thanks.

IIRC, in the Docs folder, there is an ice-iPadmini.html file, you need to enter that in the server app as page to load instead of the index.htm.
Don’t know if it’ll work though, ICP was a work in progress and don’t know if I ever finished that one. -
I really want to use this, however non of your downloads seem to include the web server exe. And so I can’t run this at all!

Weird,
anyhow, you can download it for free at TouchDown (link to Touchdown in the first post). You can register for free and then download the app from the download section in the forum.
Can you try this link? https://www.dropbox.com/s/ilo8hqc7deyy1w0/TouchDown.zip?dl=0 -

Anyone running this on win 10. I ran it on my test laptop (win 10) fine, just upgraded the main machine and now I get an error message when i click start server on the app. the message just says
“Error,Could not start the server”
any ideas on what needs to be running that upgrading to Win 10 might off killed?

I don’t have Win10 so no idea. Have you tried running the server app in compatability mode (win XP SP3 or something) and as administrator? Also check possible firewalls/antivirus not blocking the application or ports.

Hey mate, tried all those and no joy. I went back to the laptop that I had previously successfully tested on and now it does not work either. So I assume an update has stopped the ability to run a web server.

That sucks
Sorry I can’t be of any assistance on that. -
ok so if change the port from 80 to anything it seems to start. however i can’t connect to it from the table. must be some firewall thing?

Yes probably a firewall thing then. If you change the port to something else then default 80, don’t forget to add the port on the address. So for example port 8080 needs the following adres in your tablet browser: 192.168.1.xxx:8080
