So a little update on the Carrier and the POC… and adding some Light on the subject.
It was nice to finally get rid of those Damn “Lights ol’ chap” triangles for a few polys more (3)……BUT after that I went a bit farther outta’ the box and decided to really Illuminate the scene for “Joe”…Cheers,don’t care if you like it or not……LOL!!!

Eghi was kind enough to send me how to make the daynight switch in 3ds with falcon… ok I got this… and thanx.
I remember a post on airport lights. Also I remember the switch in 3ds (Falcon helper) to make it alternate day night. To make it glow you set opacity to 99% and set Alpha in the texture material (not rgb) and in the Alpha you make a gradient to represent the shed of light on the floor polygon.
But you should make a trick in LE as I remember with a point or polygon u mast create first inside the light source of the 3d model, and than u must make a change in LE for that point or polygon. Right?You know where I’m headed for the 3d cities for the light from the street poles.

Open CT record 3570 in LE its all there. Except I changed the Switch type to the BMS XSwitch type and set it to always on. Then did a quick rescan\rebuild and saved.
That is for the flood light effect. The spots were done in 3ds as you stated except for the Alpha manipulation. I did not like that glow effect as much.Maybe I’ll play with it more in the future. (Note: 3ds does not give a good render of what we see in game. It is tedious to guess\gauge what will look right in game)Cheers,

tired demerDave, may i say some remarks about the landing lights on the deck?
Check this real video:
You can see 3 things:- First the centerline lights as also the side ones are more, means they have smaller spaces between them. So add some more.
- Second the colors of them are non correct. Centerline lights are something between white and slightly yellow-orange. The side ones are white.
And the centerline lights flashing. - Third the deck has no lights (flooding lights). Only some red on the “island” (or tower).
If you can, do these corrections. It will be awesome.

Thanks for the kind words.
As far as the 15C……no you cannot. There was too much controversy over the model when I first started the project. (Getting permissions,egos,skins and a bunch of other Falcon politics BS)BUT you can use the 15J that is available in the list to replace the C in your scenarios.
Though the landing gear does not display correctly due to the SimData isse. It still flies and fights like the C.
As well, GUAM is modelled around the 2012 Cope North exercise where F-15J’s participated.Have fun,

There are only two carriers in the last release that spawn and TO correctly….IIRCC the Vinson and Reagan.

Its been a Falcon minute……sooo thinking we are not working to move Falcon forward:
FPS maintains good numbers even with 4 ~50K models in scene, two more DDG’s to do then done.
