Thanks Blu3wolf. I forgot about the multi-national use of the F-16, both in the real world and virtual world. <sheepish grin=“”>Red Dog: I like the thought of a Tech Order (user’s manual).</sheepish>

TCTO 1VM-34-1 BMS Flight Sim avionics - covers avionics which are not specific to any one aircraft (so the sim rather than the aircraft function).
Would go nicely with a TO 1VF-16CM-1-1 and TO 1VF-16CM-34-1-1 I think…still would love to have that TO 1VF-16C-6CF-1 though!

Lol… yeah, love that vid, fits just right there…

I was wondering if any thought was given to identifying new content in the 4.33 documentation. Something to identify “updated” information that I use in technical documentation is applying a light gray background to the new info. Depending on how much new content there is that may not work for your documentation. It would be nice to be able to locate all the new information quickly.

Like a hyperlinked table of contents?

Red Dog - any chance of releasing the 4.33 docs before the up grade - give us a chance to get ahead of the curve? will the new BMS doc be available as hard copy through somewhere like LULU as Dash - 1 was?

Whenever this type of topic comes up I always like to thank the Devs for all they do, and do not want to appear to be complaining.
If I may, let me give an opinion from a lower level of experience. I do enjoy the immersion of USAF format documents. However, as Blue says, which AF do we “simulate”?
I do enjoy the immersion but what I believe would be best for our Community, especially new people, is a one source, indexed source.
Then we can get Dan Hampton to write it ( -
In regards to take format of real life documents … i think that whoever wants to write a doc … it should be readable and abodable for the majority.
A lot of aviation books give you a headache, they are not well written or user friendly … sometimes real life like is not optimum.

A preview would be nice [emoji6]

@Red:
We took care of that and we’re confident the 4.33 documentation will be to the expectations of the majority of users. (read that again Bw & Mower, especially the majority of users )
We won’t necessarily “mimick” real docs for all BMS documentation as it is not doable in many aspects but we try as best as we can - at least indeed for the -1 & -34
But again, actually writing them you realise very fast that the structure isn’t always easy to mimick because of the SIM/real AC compromisesBottom line, rest assured that we worked very hard on that much needed aspect.
We’re close to 800+pages of quality combined manuals specific for 4.33 covering Sim specific aspects, dedicated training, aircraft cockpit & system and aircraft weapons and targetting systems:blowpar:Good to hear some news about 4.33. I will now go into a coma wake me up when 4.33 comes out.

Guys, what is BMS v4.33? I can’t find any mentioning in the announcements. Links to the initial discussion would be appreciated.

Yeah, there isn’t one actually.
BMS 4.32 is the current version of BMS. 4.33 is presumably the version which will be released next (whenever that might be).

Hmmm . . . the discussion of updates to documentation reminds me of one of the less ‘fun’ aspects of my flying days - page counts, which we had to do every time a change was made to our Technical Orders or checklists. We didn’t actually count the number of pages therein, we had to make sure that all of the changed pages were received and integrated properly.
