No help!? I am sure I am not the only one in community trying to run Helious and GPT keyTx/RX. Really appreciate any help offered! I hope GiGurra is following this thread.
THANKS -
Did you check the manual? Please insert the IP adress in the sender config file. Also open the port in the firewall.
also read here: https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?20876-Helios-on-Slave-PC-help-needed-Gigurra-Morphine-Rouge-and-Ice-Profiles/page3
GiGurras tools are great.
But I could not get the keystrokes transmitted so I wrote my own small app: http://livrot.com/LAN_keyboard/LAN_keyboard.aspx

I run the KeyComm Transmitter on my 2nd PC and get the following: C:\Cockpit Tools>java -server -jar KeyComTransmitter.jar Error: missing ‘server’ JVM at ‘C:\Program Files\java\jre1.8.0_40\bin\server\jvm.dll’. Please install or use the JRE or JDK that contains these missing components.
C:\Cockpit Tools>pause
Press any key to continue…Any ideas? Thanks
Also When I navigate to C:\Program Files\java\jre1.8.0_40\bin folder there is no Server folder. -
Sry I have not answered your questions. Hopefully you got your problems sorted. Otherwise - ask me on skype (ask for skype details in a PM - I get an email notification from that).

Hello,
Trying GPT Key RX/TX to run Helios on Slave PC and really in need of help…a lot of help! Already spent so many falcon hrs on this instead of flying and pulled last few hair left on my head (Only a balding person can understand how precious they were!!).
Using V0.2 tools. GPT is Only for keyTX/RX. MFDs and other gauges are exported using MFDE on 2nd PC.- Installed everything in “Dependencies” folder on both PC including latest JRE v8update32.
-Ran Start_Key_Reciver.bat on Master PC. Command window open and stays there. Just bat file command line and no other error msg in window. I guess this is okay and master PC is ready to receive keystroke from Helios Pc. Let me know if this is not correct and something else needs to be done.
-Ran Start_Key_Transmitter.bat on Helios PC. Got following error:
–--------------------------------------------
E:\GurrasGPTtools\V2\components>java -jar gpt-keytransmitter-assembly-SNAPSHOT.j
ar

- I checked gpt-keytransmitter-cfg.json file, to add master PC IP address or other info but syntax is too cryptic for me to understand. Tried some formats but no joy.
Need help to configure GPT keyTX/RX and if anything else is needed to run Helios in master/slave config with GPT tools. Helios Forum is down so no help there is available to figure out what else needs to be done to run Helios & GPT.
Really appreciate your help!!!
-Grieving Griff-Skype me :).

Thank you Steve!
@vitabutch:Anyway cannot get it to work. Manual seems to be for the old version with old configuration files etc. I am on Windows 10 and GPT v0.2. Now I only managed to get shared memory transmitter working. DisplayTransmiter doent send anything over the network. As I see from the .json file there are very few configuration options for transmitter - IP address and Port. All dependent packages installed. For .dll I went into the file properties and unlocked the files.
No any single error message and no effect. Checked with WireShark, displaystransmitter loader doesnt try to open any IP connection to the interface.Anybody have the older GPT release?
P.S. Where are the good old times with .ini .log and executables? Crappy java…Call off the guards! It works well on Windows 10.

Hi all! What instruments it extracts? Looking into “displayreciever-cfg.json” i only read for MFDs, DED, HUD and RWR.
Does anyone know if it extracts others instruments licke MfdE? -

But it also mirrors the shared memory block over the network so you can run any of your favorable instrument display utility on the networked PC (I use Helios).
MFDE doesnt extract instruments (like puctures). It reads flight parameters from BMS shared memory and visualize the instruments by itself just using the extracted parameters. -

How it works? Only in network mode or also standalone? Is there a guide? Thank you

First of all, thanks for developing a new tool.
That been said, I wold like to play devil’s advice here and ask you:
What are the advantages of your tool over GPT?
Is its performance hit less than that of GPT?Thank you

I have not made any comparison. Mine is pure C++, no java interface, so is a bit easier to make it run. The only different thing is that you can have choose to have only MFD extraction and/or others cockpit instruments on the client machine. All displays can be on different windows each activable via a key press. So you can have all the engine instruments in a window, keep it hidden and with the press of a key you can make it show; when checked hit the key again and the window will be hidden again. Plus you can use the “panel” application that runs a web server on the server pc that allows you to interact with Falcon BMS via simples web pages that you can display on every device you have that supports HTML.

Hello GiGurra,
Is it possible in a new version to add MFD extraction works with all cockpits in Falcon4? (Actually not works with Mirage2000 cockpit…).
Thanks for your job
