Compatibility of mods?
-
Hi
I looked at the list of mods and I am thankful and baffled at the same time. Greatfull for the many mods but I don’t know where to start first.
First of all I wanted the full 2015 pack for Korea from Tomcatz because it’s easy to install and it’s complete. This is installed. But does this include other mods as JanHas his F16 model or not?
Don’t know if there are recommendations for beginners which mods that include great value, ease of install and are known to be quite stable.I also want the pilot legs with the knee board updater but are all these mods compatible with each other? Or do I need to install all the mods in a certain order?
Thanks in advance -
They “should” be compatible with each other
that’s what i’m thinking, don’t know if i’m right

I also presume that unless they alter the same models I guess. But it’s not that easy to know, if your not familiar with the technical stuff going on behind the scenes.

I am also new to BMS and confused about which mods are available and what they actually do. Arty’s hot list is helpful but it seems you have to be very knowledgeable and familiar with BMS and flight simming to know what’s relevant to the individual.
I’m not complaining, just stating my feelings. -

I’m not complaining, just stating my feelings.I share your feeling:
External links that I found very usefull that contain mods are of JanHas and TomCatz
http://tomsflightart.jimdo.com/ ==> downloaded there the ''Models Fullpack 2015" which is great to start out with and easy to install!
http://www.janhas.net/ ==> it contains lots of models and there you can also find the LOD editor to actually modify models, although I haven’t completely figured it out yet myself…
Besides that I also used the cloudpack, HUD, moon, viper sound pack and pilot legs with the kneepad updater and also Weapons Delivery Platform for mission planning. Now you know where I currently stand

As always its Mod at your own risk.
And what might be OK for one person might not for another.
Make a “copy” of your entire BMS 4.32 folder if you want to play safe.
Every few weeks some one is asking for help with screwed installs.
Personally I use a very small list of mods, Zaycev’s small Sun. One of the tracer mods, IVC “mic_block.wav”, A Modded F-18c and SU-27/30 and some fixs for a few busted/incorrect/nonfunctional Russian weapons.
And you should also consider those you fly with, full disclosure.
Also for public events always use a clean unmodded install.

**And remembers guys, if you are using ANY kind of mod, refrain yourself from posting any bug report or any question relative to an issue, in that case, ask the authors of the mod(s) and DO NOT post into the Technical Support room, but rather into the Community MODs/WIP room.
Thank you.**

+1. Aternatively, you can also try to reproduce the bug on clean install to see if it is the mod or BMS itself that causes the problem.
