Falcon MFD Software for android tablets
-
Anyone got their MFD tablets up and running with 4.33 yet?
-
-
Excellent; I’ve installed 4.33 but haven’t had a chance to play around with it much yet. Good to know we won’t have to wait for an updated version of the app/server to get our MFDs working!
-
Roger that.
-
Dear Sir :
The new version 4.33 no these callback command SimEWSProgOne …~ SimEWSProgFour. So it can not used.
-
If you have a keyfile that you used previously for the apk, use it. I just transferred my keyfile to 4.33 and the apk works perfectly.

Same here, quick check yesterday came up with no issues although I don’t recall the mfds working, but the icp worked great.

Did you change “0” to “1” in your BMSconfig folder? Take a look at the server MFD screen for what I am referring to.

That worked for me. Thanks!

You’re welcome. You weren’t the only one.
<–- solemnly raises his hand… “Guilty as charged your honor” :))

I guess I haven’t done that either then. I need to update to a new version anyway, right now I’m still trying to wrap my head around how to generate key files the “Kolbe” way %->
Cheers, Uwe

Since I had to generate a new keyfile anyway, I sat down and assigned all the “unassigned” keys to as many free ctr-alt-shift combos I could find.
Now for the first time EVAR, I have no error messages about unassigned keys when starting the server. Phew, better make a backup
I have a question about the briefing / flight plan screens though: Do I simply make a screenshot in order for them to end up in the “Pictures” folder, and will androidmfd pick them up automatically?
All the best & thanks for your great work,
Uwe
EDIT: Could you please add a command line option to start the server window minimized? Right now it maximizes at startup so I have to minimize it manually each time (in fact I wrote a mouse recorder script that does that automatically, still it would be a nice option to have).

Ref: Briefing/picture folder… That’s exactly right. Just remember to clean out old pictures before each flight/mission.
Just curious… Why do you minimize the server? -

Just curious… Why do you minimize the server?Hm, it just gets in the way of all the other windows that are open (FTNoIR, VAC and so on). It would be nice if it remembered the previous size and would use that when opening its window. No biggie, just in case the devs run out of ideas for new features

Just trying to get my head wrapped around your issue here… You run FTNoIR on your tablet?
-
LOL, no, of course not. I was on about the Falcon MFD SERVER window opening maximized, the android client is fine.
Sorry for any confusion.
Uwe

DOH! Sorry mate… my mistake… I’m tracking you now. LOL
(… Grabbing another cup of coffee) -
The display does not seem to work for the Mirage and F-18 I’ll check others (AV8 works). MFDE and the BMS display extraction works fine, so I assume the memory extraction location is the same, but it does not render them on the android.

Interesting. I have not tried it for the other aircraft yet. I am guessing that it does work for the F-16…did not see it mentioned…just checking.
