Dash-34 feedback on the LANTIRN
-
Only the following variants get LANTIRN, and I mean by that both NVP/TGP: EAF Block 32/40, HAF 52+, US Block 42, ROK Block 32/52, Sufa (-28 instead of -14).
You should be able to select pods like any weapons in next update, no more model switches, no more hacks (if it gets approved for release branch). You will be able to chose between different TGP as well (-14 or -33 for CCIP blocks for example).
-
AMEN.
PS: It might be useful for the average user to add a small sentence in the manuals, indicating that “we talk about current BMS implemented models-versions-blocks”, and not all the blocks/subversion’s of the real world.
-
yea im not trying to debate how things should or shouldnt be, im just saying that the documentation says the Block 25 can use the LANTIRN, but you cant actually mount it (LANTIRN or Sniper)
So im just posting this the people that keep track of these sorts of things can… well… keep track of it -

next update? Like, maybe 4.33 update 1 next update?
That would be amazing!

Or update 2, depending how fast update 1 is coming.
-
indeed, though I think my statement stands whether it was update 1 or 2.

The block 25 is an error at release in the manual. Although at time of writing the BMS block 25 had the capability but was removed later on
It on our list to be corrected. -
What about software? Will the functionality of Lantirn pod will be the same as Sniper pod?
Best regards,
falconbr

as for everyone else, i think its def good news about the future updates, but probably better it another section of the forums i would think, as this thread was just about a typo in the current documentation.
Not trying to be rude, just would rather see this info where more people will find it and be able to discuss it -
We (developpers) are not supposed to talk about upcoming features. Let say I did not behave myself here :p. About tgp software, nothing changed, only how you load it on the aircraft. I am just doing the data side of it.

np mate, i know how things go, but its good to see some of these things
Im not too new to BMS itself, but i am new to the community, so far i have found people here great, and something about it has already caused me to just start doing all kinds of work like this: https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?24217-Is-there-a-practical-comparison-for-the-F-16-block-variants-in-4-33 lolAnyways, again getting off topic, i used to run a large vBulletin based community myself and would always struggle with people doing exactly what im doing now…
Next step is to find a good VFG or squadron
