How many of you are using multi monitor setups?

Yours looks to be decently equipped!
I have it down to the standard steps for a hardware/software integration. Built two other rigs, software-wise… one almost a replica of mine, and another single main monitor setup except he has 2 x 980 NV cards. If I had to do it all over, I would only drive a Helios setup like Ice has nicely provided everybody on a single touch screen and three monitors tied to one. I have to do another rig, probably this year, but single larger main monitor and a main touch with a mod of Ice’s Helios profile. I was thinking about a 390 GPU…you recommend it?

No actually max settings on everything except vertical sync off. Lately I have been running it at 1920x1080 so I can keep referring to the PDF manuals because I have lots to learn and its runs at 65-90fps. Since its been weeks, I would have to recheck the 5760x1080 res to get more accurate data on it but 70 fps average is what I do recall.

i5-2500k at 4GHz, EVGA classified 780 TI, 3 1600x900 LG monitors 8GB Corsair vengeance, running Windows 10 64bit with latest nvidia drivers. Everything maxed graphics wise (even forcing 16xQ CSAA) and I never drop below 60fps (vsync on) or have stutters. Not sure what I get without vsync, as when I turn it off I get bad screen tearing.
Yeah not the highest res (4800x900), but with my aging eyes higher res wont make much of a difference lol.

Ahh, i see the sense in ice’s setup. A 24 in touch screen would be usefull with the three screens handling the sky candy. Just bought 2 windows 10 tablets very cheap to see if they can handle the pfd/mfd if not they’ll go back and will wait and save for a multi touch screen. Thanks for everyones input.

I am working on this: http://www.simpit.co.nz/index.php/products/icarus-avenger
I am going to use the Cardboard A10 cockpit and put a touch screen in the front dash using the Helios setup by Ice. Skip the center stick and mount it side stick.

Here is my cockpit. I fly FSX presently due to the fact that I need to reprogram all my X-Keys panels. On top is my " Falcon BMS " setup that I just put on the desk after removing my FSX setup. Works like a charm.
My system now is a I5-2500K @ 4.53GHz, 16GB of DDR3, twin GTX 670 4GB in NVSurround with 3x 27-inch Samsung monitors.
My BMS has X-Keys stuff, Cougar MFDs and a full CH HOTAS.
My FSX is a 7x Instrument panels, twin radios, single autopilot ( all networked ), multi-engine throttles and trim and Saitek Yoke. There is another system on the left which is my networked Saitek panels/radios, FSX WX/GPS Maps/TS/IVC server ( running a i7-3770 ).

What frame rates are you getting on high end single gpu’s? I am about to purchase falcon 4 (when i can find a copy) and am wondering if i might need to add a titan x or fury x and bin the r9 390. by bin i mean ebay.
As you know by now, I do multi-monitor as well. Check out this thread to get an idea.

Turn off the Cockpit shadow, Focus shadow, and the water shadow should improve the FPS. You really have to play with the setting to see where your limit is at.

Ripper, while I am impressed by the wrap-around screen you have, I felt like that fell into “FSX territory.” Displays like that are beautiful when you don’t have to turn your view around. How does it work for things like BMS where you have to “check six” and work with TrackIR? Any chance of posting a video?
What projectors are you using and what videocard is doing the work?
Thanks!

I don’t have it yet, I have ordered it and awaiting delivery (Im in US and it is coming from NZ). I bought it originally to use in X-Plane 10, but have seen others using it in DCS. Having talked to the make they said that it would be fully compatible with TrackIR. Naturally you would have to adjust your profile.
Here you can see someone using TrackIR with it:

I am building my rig with this: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/nvidia-geforce-gtx-980-4gb-gddr5-pci-express-3-0-graphics-card-silver-black/9855141.p?id=1219441205886&
Let me check my email from the screen guy and see what the projectors are.

Once I get the pieces together I will make a thread documenting the pit.

Also working with 3 screens with HD7970 GPU… that works quite good.
