Sanders Smokewinder 9000-5 / 9000-6

Hi Everybody!
This is my first model working in 3dsMax. I am modelling SMOKEWINDER 9000-5 and 9000-6 SmokePod for Demo Teams.
9005/9006 number shows wingtip mount left or right. 9005-Left , 9006-Right.
I modeled only one(right-Hardpoint9). But its seems inverted in station(hardpoint1). How can fix this shortly I don’t know.
I think one model is enough but may be it must modeled left and right as two model.So I need Professional’s help some subject about:
I dont want to use engine smoke for these models. (Ctrl+s)
-How can we import it into sms system? (in realworld)
I think I need dat file or some particlesys datas for smokewinder smoke.
-How does run two smoke pod same time? (in realworld)
-How can triggers smokewinders in realworld and falcon. Weapon Release key?
-Will a new key be assigned to SmokeWinder?Best Regards!

Hi Gizemkar,
Nice model. You can check on Ikaros theater / database / sms / weapon loads / files, I’ve added the pods using a modified AIM-9 for now (JanHas also has the pods on list) so you can discover the data you need to also model this.
I’ve also separated the demo bird FM, selectable through f4patch, in order for the user to select the smoke coming from engine (normal config) or through the 2 pods on the wingtips. This is however a hack just for the eye-candy of this, taking videos / photos until a more proper and permanent solution is implemented some day from devs.
In real these pods are start smoking with master arm > arm and weapon pickle, but I know some older version just had a basic addon control panel attached to the glareshield to enable smoke.
BTW, the pitot on the bottom of the body is angled and not like in your model. What this practically means, if you decide to go 100% realistic model/3D-wise, is that you need 2 separate models for the pods, one for the right wingtip ONLY and one for the left. These can be configured easily with bmsrack and weapon loads so to match proper positions of the correct pod.
Using only 1 model for both pods is not possible to correctly place the second pod in the proper position, you will always have a pod with the pitot facing down (as it should be) while the other will have the pitot up, like your pictures, since the weapon is rotating along the pylon/hardpoint z; axis.
I can show you detailed pics of the pods if you need some extra help on such details.

Wow - those are some really crude/draggy fasteners attaching the fins! Perhaps flush-fitting fasteners aren’t quite as strong as they need to be to keep the fins on? Also, I wonder why they don’t just weld the fins onto those angles… unless they keep the angles bolted in place at all times, and use the hex bolts/nuts to take the fins off.
…I find the fin assembly of that dispenser incredibly crude - we would be capable of making that in our facility. It’s not to knock our company, but it’s just surprising to see the mundane incorporated into something we’ve been trained to consider anything but mundane. It’s a nice reality check.
Also, to those who know… why all the phillips-head type screws on the aircraft? Those things are far to easy to strip - you can actually see some on the missile rail which look to be on their way there, in fact. Why aren’t they using allen or torx-head screws?
