In windows 10 basicly the regfix should work the same, I suspect the path in the registry to be different though.
Search and locate your VID where the fix is pointing to, and verify and adjust if needed the path in regfix accordinlgy.I’ll give this a try tomorrow - not going to have time tonight, unfortunately! Thanks!
-
Thanks for this - can’t wait to try it out!
Anyone had a chance to try the registry fix in Win 10?
Can confirm the reg fix works in Windows 10, without having to edit anything. Nice work Snelle.

Thanks for sharing the Windows 10 compatibility
What driver version of the x-55 do you use, just for the record? -
New in version 4.1 Realistic Cockpit Sounds added for most of the X55 functions.
Download from the first page.

Thank you very much for taking the time to do all this!! Finally, a complete setup with installation documentation.
-
Thank you for the great effort. You have a lot of patience.

Thanks for sharing.
One question, only functions in Mode 1?
No keys assigned for Mode 2 and 3?

That’s correct. That is the way DX works, each button has it’s number assigned and goes directly injected into the BMS. Mode switching is not possible as the Mode switch is not recognized as DX and above all there is no mode switching function in BMS.
No fancy magic software, no delay’s, a bulletproof working HOTAS without any BSOD form SST.
You will find enough unprogrammed buttons left on the throttle for adding one or two to your personal likings and with the added documentations you will find your way doing so.Have fun.

Hi again Snelle, i´ve been able to load de profile in the UI of BMS, and all works fine.
Only one question, how i can use the blue options, the “shifted” options.
Thanks for the profile buddy!
P.D. The .pr0 is empty? do we need to load it before flight?

The shifted functions are triggered by holding the Pinkyshift in combination with key of choice. Do check that in cockpit and not in UI as it will not work in latter.
The SST (pr0) profile is not manditory, all the HOTAS functions including airbrake are programmed.
As in RL the slider should have the airbrake and it would be ashame to leave it out. This slider is only 1 key(p/r) and also non_DX the so the only way to
get it functional is with SST. So the profile looks empty but it should carry the brake toggle on the slider. -
Ok newbie question here. I am suffering from the reversed controller ID’s and followed the instructions provided to edit the key in notepad. This does not appear to have any effect in game. Am I supposed to do something other than flip flop the 0-31 and 32-60whatever in notepad? I am just getting into BMS so my understanding on how this works is limited but growing. I really want to play but the controller set up is kicking my butt. Thanks

Reload the keyfile in BMS UI?
Spaces, Returns, case-sensitive all matters in a keyfile make sure there is no fault. -
Thank you for the quick response. I will try it out this evening

I changed my previous answer because it is not correct .
Based on the log file of driver install i conclude that the driver installer is not determining device order.
So Windows itself will determine the device order imho and in registry it shows clearly where the devices are.
Are your joystick 1 and 2 are opposite of the picture? If so then I would try to uninstall the drivers and deleting the keys out of the registry and start your install over from the beginning. It’s trial and error as I’m searching for answers to on this subject.
Be careful and make backup! -

Ok, I haven’t had a chance to play yet but it looks like we may have it working now. I deleted all drivers, deleted the joystick and throttle registry folders and did a completely clean install after a reboot. plugged in stick first and then throttle. At least the game UI seems to be recognizing the correct controllers now. I can try your other suggestion if this does not actually fix it but I think it did. Thanks again for the help

Interested in if your registry was swapped regarding joy 1 and 2 compared to mine as shown in pic ?
