Pointers for a beginner - Android Tablet/Export MFDs
-
There’s lots of different threads about various methods of doing this…Litening MFDE, Helios, ICP/DED extractor etc etc…
To various devices…Touch screen Monitors, tablets, phones etc…
For a beginner and so I can investigate the appropriate one…
Whats the best way to make use of my 10" Android tablet with BMS 4.33?
If there’s an easy way to export MFDs to it without to much lag that’d be perfect!
If not simply transfering ICP/DED to it would be a bonus…
What can be done…and what threads do I need to focus on?
Cheers! -
MFDE, Helios, and most stuff are for touchscreen or multi-screen PC setups. Multi-screen setups can be lots of big monitors or big monitors plus smaller monitors, usually to put behind custom cutouts in replica cockpits. Also, multi-screen setups may sometimes utilize a second PC to take some load off the main PC.
For your android device, check out this thread.

+1. I use this software on two tablets for MFD extraction and the ICP. Works a treat, with no noticeable delay.

+1 on the thread for Android tablet users. Works great! It also includes an interactive map, MFDs, ICP, Autopilot, ECM, etc., etc…
Edit: I also use it on two tablets.

I must confess I am confused as to what does what and how. So far I see Helios, Lightnings Extractor, and komurcu’s stuff (as above) Don’t seem to be many if any clear use guides??
I have a potential set up of 1 main and 2 x 27" side monitors on my Win7 Pro, 1 extra PC and monitor on XP SP3, a touchscreen laptop on win10, a N10 android tablet, and a notebook on win7 pro!Anywhere to get guides? I see -Ice’s 2 vids for Helios but not much else.

Try www.viperpit.org they are the cockpit guys and are probably the biggest group for multi monitor use in Falcon4.

Is that site still active? Can’t connect!
