KTO-Rolling Fire-ground forces not advancing much for 4 days

this worked thank you very much. Now I will also control the ground war
I just remember having read about this issue here…
Post #42 might be what you are looking for.

The ground war has now progressed quickly
It looks like a full occupation is required to achieve victory or maybe just every inch of pingpong. I have a division worth of battalions now inside the capital now performing RPP missions unopposed.

i should have read this post earlier~ Darn my IF cam ends on Day 5, peace statement!!

this worked thank you very much. Now I will also control the ground war
You interrupted the big soiree your ground forces were having, which is why they didn’t move until you ordered them to!
Post a pic of the final victory when it happens.

Not sure what I am missing as Wonsan and Pingpong are occupied. The reds have no fighting units, no aircraft up for days and nothing to stop blue advance. Once I took control the blue moved quickly. I guess there is one key town or bridge I have to take then I will get the V.

DAY 8-another day and more consolidating. A few red airstrips apparently became active though no red aircraft icons visible on planning maps and in intel section they are bombing blue ground units but that’s maybe because most awacs flights have stopped and tasking them is not working meaning without an awacs up ID of red aircraft basically ceases. The reds continue to repair airbases and airstrips in a vain attempt to hit blue forces while town after town is taken and still unsure why I haven’t yet achieved the victory:
It must be that either all targets in specific PAK’s must be captured (turned blue) including political sites or something else I haven’t yet figured out. Looking at that map the war is over yet they have not yet surrendered. tick tock…

I think you missed an important deadline while your troops were partying. Load the latest campaign save file of the day for day 5 then check to see if you had retaken Seoul by then. Post a screen shot of the map/intel for that day.

Never lost Seoul. This campaign starts alond curent dmz.
-
Sure you aren’t playing Rolling Fire campaign then?
F1
-
Yes it’s KTO Rolling Fire
START:NOW:
So it looks like I need to push west and southwest of Pingpong.
-
10-4! Perhaps another day or two of fighting.
Recommend you save your campaigns a lot more too, perhaps after every sortie as a safeguard against a corrupted campaign file and/or inflight system crash.

adding political to the map shows a few red such targets hence I guess I have to make them blue also inside the greater Pingpong area. It’s a pain in the ass as in the past entering the capital gave me victory but wtf I must see this thru. Strange my ground units close to a few red airbases for 2 days have not have not moved the last few yards to occupy the targets. Red helos have reappeared and I am hitting them having to task sweeps etc and oca strikes constantly. Lots of work I must say.

Recommend you get South Pingpong (as you say ;)) and the bridge connecting it to the north side of town. This is the moment when my campaign ended near the end of day 7.
Here are the results, and I didn’t stretch out as far as you have.
East Pingpong was taken first by the USMC, from the northeast road, and ROK forces moved up from the south to take South Pingpong and S. Pingpong bridge.
HTH…

Map recon indicates that is the sole red object in the AO
sending ground units to converge there.
SITREP in the morning…
-
That worked thank you!

On to the next

Grats on finishing and winning your first campaign. Great feeling, isn’t it?
Cheers, uwe
-
Thank you. That’s my first 4.33 campaign victory and far from my first Falcon rodeo!
-
Can you confirm you were promoted to Major afterwards too? With that number of points you should have been once you completed a campaign.
