Spice Weapon not Releasing
-
I am pretty sure I am holding it for that long. I will have to do a test flight later.

How long are you holding pickle for? IIRC it needs 5-6 seconds depressed to release.
No Mower, only Harpoons requires that long time (and even for them it’ll be usually shorter than that), all other weapons with pickle delays shouldn’t take more than 2 seconds to release.
Regarding the SPICE issue here, did you checked the 3-4 content?
Basically the SPICE family are a gliding IAMs and release with same conditions like JSOWs and SDBs, the only difference is the targets selection process. So if you know how to release a JSOW/SDB and you know how to select targets for the SPICE, then it should work EXACTLY the same.
I suggest you to take another look in the 3-4 and check everything you do.From the top of my head, you may want to look at these steps:
1. Verify that a target is selected for the current weapon in the DED page of the SPICE - For that you should have set a “WPN TGT” point in the UI before the flight and have that loaded in the DED (More details in the 3-4)
2. Verify that weapon launch conditions are filled - Speed not too high (IIRC above mach 0.95 or 550 knots) and not too slow (IIRC below mach 0.6) and that you are below 40K feet. If you have a DLZ in the HUD then you are OK.
3. Verify that you are in range (DLZ tick mark inside the scale).
4. Verify that the weapon station is OK in SMS (Station number appears near station and not “F” for failed station or “H” for a HUNG weapon).Cheers!

Never had issue with Jsow I bet I am missing a step going to do some practice later.

If you installed the Israel theater, there is a docs folder for that theater with a file called ITO Training Missions.pdf that includes a training mission for the SPICE.

Did not realize that you had to do the weapon waypoints separate was using just steer points in the 80s like I was for jdams.
