When I load old key file used in 4.32 at 4.33.

Hello, I’m a newbie. Please help me:)
I have some questions.
When I load old key file used in 4.32 at 4.33’s set up menu. I could find out the removed or deleted callbacks at 4.33 are disappeared and not displayed in key map table.
Question #1]
If so, Does it mean that the 4.33 key file loader in set up menu has filtering function about old key file’s callbacks? That is to say, If I load old 4.32 key file at 4.33, the removed and deleted callbacks in 4.33 are filtered out automatically?Question #2]
Does the BMS 4.33 have the another key file having properly loaded key callback from user key file? Thanks in advance.;)

Hi, I’m pretty sure, it’s written in the FAQ about .33, but I’ll tell you about it shortly: In 4.33 you can’t use the old 4.32 keyfile in any circumstances. Some did it and they had very big problems, even until the forced reinstallation as the couldn’t open the setupscreen anymore. I’m sorry, but you have to set up a new one an delete the old from your 4.33 installation.

Thanks for your reply. But I alreay known it. Merely I want to know is whether the 4.33 accepts only valid callbacks when loading keyfiles.

There is no callback verification built-in, so NO.
Do yourself a favor, keep your 4.32 keyfile away from your 4.33 installation. Will save you MUCH hassle in the long term …

I, despite the recommendations, have used my 4.32 keyfile as a base for for 4.33. It was just too much work otherwise with what I had down with it, if I had all of my changes in one specific part of the .key it would have been fine as a copy and paste job into the 4.33 but really with having some commands that I assigned within the UI, it was really my best option since my changes were spread through out. The problems with doing this is you can have old callbacks that now no longer do anything that you have to delete (and some of those were automatically deleted from my .key), new callbacks that you have to add and assign/re-assign. Still it was less work for me and problem free after deleting the no longer supported callbacks.

Thanks for your reply, I also had used 4.32 key file. However there are no problems. I think that’s because the 4.33 key file loading function has exceptional process to accept valid callbacks in the 4.33.
