Campaign was always done with Tacedit until replaced by Mission Commander.
Here is a (even a lttle outdated) howto to understand some basics:

Good morning (yes, that’s it! :D), Lazystone.
If is it outdated, where could we find the proper directives to make a campaign with Mission Commander?
I have to admit I don’t know well and in deep that useful new tool, I have to be clear. Thanks in advance. With best regards,

Nowhere, … or everywhere, … spreaded in small parts in (differently) forums.
BUT MC is very similar to TacEdit, so some stuff will work as intended,
whereat some other stuff might have changed and would need more effort on howto. So IMHO your job for now would be to read the old howto’s from PMC,
to get a basic idea how things … let’s say “had worked back in the days”
and then look what will still work for BMS.For things which will not work as descibed in old forums/howto’s,
or for advanced info (example tri files) use the search function here.Generally I would say someone needs a good knowledge about
theater developement and DB to be able to create a working campaign. That’s why nobody can answer the simple Q on how to do that.
You’ll need to read, read, read, and read, then try, try, try, and try.Still problems, then ask one of those campaign gurus,
which I’m not (I never created a campaign), so I’m talking theoretically here. LOLBut I hope it helps a little anyway.
Cheers,

Only “a little”, do you say?
Far more than that, I’m telling you. Aye aye, sir, I’ll do all what you have suggested to!Thanks a lot, with best regards,

Anybody know how to use FME to convert .shp file to .e00 for use in Dem2terrain? Downloaded it from first link but converted files not working.
-
Found a way using different data
-
-
All of the old PMC pages most of the links are dead and the NOAA service that used to be online is gone so I used the Worldmap Dem2terrain by Joey Labrada and then downloaded the e00 files from the Geo Community. Could not get FME to convert .shp to .eoo in a way dem2terrain could use.

No nothing new but I am sure that more questions will come up. I am almost a decade behind in this. And I Must Unlearn what I have Learned…Or FORGOT!
-
Dem2Terrain create 4byte l2 if large is ticked or do I need to do the conversion?
-
Create 4byte with D2T and you’re good to go.

Ummm……Move along, Nothing to see here!!! Sorry for the inconvenience

Welcome back, demer, Fratello!
I missed you and your useful notes so much… not only words here, believe me on it.
Even if not as skilled as a theater maker should actually, well… you made me think a lot about the same.
Well. Enough with this stuff.
Less talking and more acting, as we like indeed, don’t we?Take care and stay always safe, most of all.
With best wishes for all and regards.

Well soon , you’ll have to relearn how to do theaters…
Piece of advice, don’t spend too much time trying to create theaters the “old” way…You’re going to lose your time and efforts on that. (Most of the existing tools for old terrain are not updated and will have issues supporting you)
Cheers

Spend your time on specific and unique to your theater 3D features and objectives. If no skills yet, take maybe the time now to learn.
Avoid the trap down the road of having new shiny terrains …but empty. -

Thanks for your advise.
Hopefully someone will elaborate a new guide about and release after…
With best regards.
