ATI Users please post your settings for 4.33
-
My setup
i5 760
r9 280x
16GB ram
SSD (BMS on it)
etc etcAnd my performance is TBH terrible
I pray for the BMS team to try and optimize the sim I truly do.
Dont get me wrong what the devs have done is amazeing but this cant be right on this type of hardware
I have about 35fps in most missions if I urn on the TGP then forget ot 20fps max.
I have tryed EVERY combination of settings etc I only gain what 5fps tops.
Please devs I beg you please optimize if possible.
Thanks

Hello again
i need your wisdom about ATI radeon crimpson latest software settings
i have an 7870 HD flex radeon , and i would like to have smouth MFD text like my friend’s Archer’s video below
As you can see the MFD text is clear and smouth without tearing , is it the v-sychronization?
can anyone have that clear text with ATI radeon crimpson? with far head distance?
and if yes which software and which settings in crimpson setup and inside BMS
please post some screenshots too
best regards

Buy the same computer as Archer has. I’m sure it will be smooth.
-
Better you post your Crimson settings and the BMS configurator and graphics advanced settings here so we can take a look at it.

Arty i have ordered as i type… but i think your’s is better so give me your specs …
smart @SS…

is Crimsons more stable now? I had serious issues with the first version and with the 2 versions afterwards (hot fix didn’t help).

 u ask for smoothness of Archers pc with your pc hw…
It’s like comparing a Fiat 127 with a Porsche… (not any Porsche but the final super extra model)
U can’t have a Fiat 127 going as smooth and as fast as a Porsche.
I believe you are an experienced pc user - tweeker.
My specs are on my sig. But don’t trust them… haven’t had the time to fully test it yet. Not even one mission flawn with the new setup .

Superb. I went back to my R9 290 when my 980 Ti was RMA’d at Easter. I’ve had the NVIDIA card back for 2 weeks and still haven’t installed it as the 290 with the 16.3.1 Crimsons is doing such a good job.

Cool, maybe I’ll try to out again then with my R7970, wonder what that’ll give.
I’m running 40" 4K with some shaders off, texture export set to 0, and a second 1980x1200 monitor with a buttload of extractions (BMS and MFDE). Getting 25 bad weather at Kunsan and 45 above the clouds. Hope to get back to 60. -

MY pc is an quad core xtreme OC to 3.8GHZ with 4GB RAM 1600Mhz
and the VGA Sapphire radeon HD 7870 2GB RAM i think it is good enough for smooth BMS do you think Arty???
i speak for VGA ATI settings and BMS setup which give smooth text in MFD in far head position,i am sure it is settings issue and not “fiat issue”
and i would like some suggestions from ATI users not nvidia since ATI and specialy crimpon have deference from nvidia.
that the purpose of my post here.
if you like to help me and other ATI users you are more than wellcome …. if not please do not spam me…

Hi guys.
Just a reminding: I noticed in my Gigabyte R7 370 with Catalyst 15.7.1. (not Crimson driver) in windows 7 Ultimate x64 with SP1 that you have more fps if you don’t set at Anti-aliasing and Anisotropic Filtering the “Use application settings”, but 4x and 16x respectively. No loss of quality.
That confirmed via 3DMark.

if your cpu is the old q6600 775 socket well it’s old. 4gb of ram is bellow of recommended 8 gb ram and the ATI is barely at recommended level…
So does that answer?
one of the reasons I hw upgraded which was way painful for me. No one pushed me to it but I knew I couldn’t make my Fiat perform like a Porsche. I didn’t go for a Porsche but I got a nice Skoda… with good horsepower.
what do you mean with “in far head position” ?

my sig is old but the http://ark.intel.com/products/34692/Intel-Core2-Extreme-Processor-QX9775-12M-Cache-3_20-GHz-1600-MHz-FSB on 3.8Ghz
and the VGA https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/Sapphire/HD_7870_Flex/
i think it is a good enough for now for medium system and not all candy on
the BMS 4.33 U1 have been modified it in order to play better than the BMS 4.33
in far position i mean as you can see in Archer video the head position is in the level when the MFD , Mach meter and altitude clock is visible
In this position other users videos showing blurry text and lines, in Archer video in that head view the MFD text and lines are clear and smooth. -
Do you have the mfd setting in configurator enabled?
Sorry can’t fully recall the name of the setting, but it’s something like double resolution for mfd’s.Play with it and observe.

That video has a lower quality because twitch can only stream at 2K resolution. My screen resolution is 3840x2160. Plus i am using the Nvidia Inspector which gives me lot more options to work with when it come to graphics.
Not sure if ATI has a comparable program like that. If i don’t use the Nvidia Inspector the MFD’s are very jaggy.
My PC Specs:
