Still no tobii eye tracker 4c support for BMS ?
-
i was excited to see another BMS update but still no tobii eye tracker support
is it not possible for the devs to add it ? not really looking into buying a 400$ (in AUS) trackir just for BMS alone when tobii eye head tracker 4c works perfect in DCS and other games xD
-
I have to confess, I have never even heard of this before now. Looks interesting… thanks for the heads-up

FaceTrackNoIR has a setting to use Tobii. Have you tried that? I can’t imagine that eye tracking is going to work that well when your eyes are darting about all over the place, or does it do face tracking too?
Dee-Jay: It’s a sort of detector bar, that comes as a standalone device or, often, built into the screen bezel of some laptops. It allows you to move cursors and whatnot with your gaze. I think that in general, your game has to support it - I’m guessing that FaceTrackNoIR must “intercept” the signal - and turn it into the normal type of headtracker signal that sims can use - like TrackIR.

I’ll look into it, but basically tobbi eye tracking 4c has head tracking as well so you move your head and look where you want to look and the camera will look where your looking basically, if you set it up right it’s pretty useful I bought mine separately but it’s a bar that sits on your monitor alot of laptops have it built in.

did you ever get it working? i have the 5C and would love to get it up and running even if i have to use facetracknoir
-
I didn’t know about this either. Looks cool!
I’ve found this video where they explain how to set it up in FaceTrackNoIR. Some games don’t detect FaceTrackNoIR’s output directly so you might need to combine it with opentrack. I had to do this with an old game not too long ago.

Facetracknoir and opentrack are both using the same freetrack output to generate the TrackIR protocol

I know and I don’t recall why I had to do it that way, but I remember not being able to use Facetracknoir alone in that particular game. I’m sorry for not being able to be more precise, but can’t remember more. I said it just in case it could help.
