YAME64 suite

This is my cockpit setup: Habu’s Cockpit
It does run with YAME, though poorly at present. I have been using GPT for MFD’s and MFDE for other gages. Can’t seem to access the image, Habu_

Try again.

Hmmm… that’s a CH MFP with two small screens beside it, correct? I was hoping for more of a single, secondary-screen implementation, but thank you for your pic, Habu!

Mine is like this https://www.dropbox.com/s/04ssgji4cr8ydwn/Current-setup-2.jpg?dl=0

Thanks Focal! That looks like MFDE… which ones are YAME64?
I love the taped Cougar MFDs!! -

Little update on first post. Check there for download.

Updated the first post, some bugs corrected.

Hi Roccio, can the YAME32_client program receive information for gauges from a shared mem program like F4 Shared Memory Mirror, or is the YAME64_server program required to run also?

You need YAME64_server for now, but I will check if can use the SMMirror

Perhaps for the “to do” list; Is it possible to have the top window use the full screen? That is, no border, but also the Windows task bar would be gone too.

To those of who have this installed…what’s the benefits of this vs mfde?
-
I am evaluating it for my center pedestal analog gauges. Falcongauges 4.0 does not seem to work anymore with 4.33. The current version of MFDe might have some issues with 4.33 and it will not install on my client computer (still running Windows XP 32-bit on that). Roccio was kind enough to build a 32-bit version for client computers.

it also has more output available. MFDE for example doesn’t show eyebrow indicators etc.
Also Roccio listens very hard to user & test input to adjust and expand his program. -

Very true!

Hi Roccio, thx for this great software!
I was wondering if anyone uses the YAME_icp on an ipad? Can’t seem to find any apps that would open locally stored webpages.
Any suggestions?
greetings

Focal and others:
Is this program now in the position to replace MFDE? Or does MFDE still have some gauges/features not in YAME64? What is the “overhead” or fps hit with YAME compared to MFDE?

My personal experience is that YAME is less overhead than MFDE. Without crunching numbers I believe it’s about 5-10 fps less. You can fiddle around with it, maybe using the hook and disable all shared memory in config even.
Allthough I have to say MFDE is much easier to set up/positioning gauges etc, and it uses “cleaner” images. I believe Roccio uses pictures from todays ingame pit.
The most fluid extractor I personally find to be is the original bms CDE, but then you’re stuck with -window mode, and it looks like many around here don’t like that. There’s not so big of a difference fluidwise, yame vs mdfe, if consentrating on only the mdf extraction part.
oh….and to all the ppl having trouble installing latest lightning mfde 0.6.1.1, it’s 100% your antivirus’ fault!!! Uninstall/disable that crap, and it won’t corrupt your MFDE install.

For gauge positioning you can enter the “edit mode” using ALT-E, so you can drag the gauge where you want and resize with mouse wheel. I think I shoud be clearer in the documentation…
The pictures are from BMS, so it’s low quality, I am not able to make images, so if someone can do better art I will integrate. Maybe I need some suggestions even for the setup, I can do a setup pplication if needed.
