Flounder's X52 Pro Keyfile/DX Profile for BMS 4.33
-
Many thanks you for your suggestion which is much appreciated. The Flounder Full Key is a *.key file which replaced BMS Full. I think I am saving the additional call backs to the keyboard correctly by pressing APPLY after each setting. The problem may be in the SST profile I allocated to the game namely Flounder x52 Pro v5 with radar bands changed which is a *pRo file. Anyway I will keep trying.
-
I think it is to do with the APPLY button which is not seeming to work when assigning callbacks to either the controllers or keyboard. I may have to do an uninstall and reinstall.

OK, I think (pretty sure) ‘Apply’ will apply the changes at that time, but will not save them in the keyfile.
After “Apply”, you need to “Save”. I recommend giving it an alternate name OR saving an unaltered copy beforehand.
After “Save”, I recommend you close the sim and relaunch it. Check that the new keyfile has loaded. If not choose “Load” and select the file you want from the list.
In other words, what you’ve been doing is only making the keyfile change temporary during that session, but not saved for future sessions.
-
Thank you so much for your advice. I will work along those lines

I am eternally grateful as can now finish configuring which is working and begin to fly at last. Thank you again for your fulsome support.

Can you share the older version of this profile?
I downloaded an year ago and I did some customizations.
This month I reinstalled the Windows and I forgot to backup the modified files.
Below is the X-52 Pro modified profile based on the older keystrokes:

I installed the lastest version, but is completly different from the I used here.

I loaded the versions 3 and 5 and my customized profile do not match, I can be doing some mistake, can you confirm if this kind of keystrokes is yours profile or I used from another one?
In the Profile Editor and shows no keystrokes, the original had a lot, the version 5 looks to be all inside the keystroke file.
PS: I’m using the lastest X-52 driver and software.

The second one, with all the Saitek programming, modes, etc. is no profile of mine.
Every profile I’ve posted is based on maximizing DX and specifically state the intent to minimize to approx zero the amount of Saitek key emulation programming, hence (and properly) the ‘empty’ Saitek *.pr0 file.
Maybe check Scuby’s or KesMonkey’s or Hard~Deck’s X52 Pro profiles (although that doesn’t look like Hard~Deck’s or Scuby’s either, I don’t think.
-
Yeah, it was my mistake. I downloaded the Scuby’s Profile and looks to be the same I have here. Thanks a lot!

Hi, I’m trying to record acmi but I can’t start the recording with the profile. Default is ‘f’ key but its not working. Anyone can help me ?
Thanks !

All key commands and HOTAS commands are diagrammed in Post #1 and included in the download package. I found it useful to have these printed and available until I learned the layout.
Check the AVTR Toggle on the Throttle Base. No keyboard command (but you could add one).
-
Thanks, I already got it printed but I was expecting something written about ACMI now I just found out about AVTR
Thanks you

i cant get the 3 position rocker on the stick to go into the dog fight modes… is there a setting or something i need to before actuating it… im still really new to the game… used to just hit d and koo-koo-ka-choo you were in dog fight mode… i like this set up so i really dont want to do any changes… except maybe change team speak to df/mrm… but i dont even know how to change the keys if i wanted to

Shouldn’t need to use anything else. Are you using both the *.key file and the *.pr0 file?
Are you loading the *.pr0 file before starting BMS (from the Saitek icon in the system tray)?
In the BMS Setup Controller screen, you should be able to test the knob. As you rotate forward and back the displayed command name should cycle through MRM/Cancel/DF.
You can certainly replace the TeamSpeak PTT if you don’t need it, but I’m not sure you can replace it with DF/MRM because you need an Override Cancel command to get out of DF/MRM. That’s why the 3-way mode knob on the stick works so well.

got it to work thanx… needed to do a major update on my joystick and associated software… the cd it came with is really out dated… all good now… any updated .key or .pr0 files to download since the files were first posted on here??

No. Any additions or changes were posted in Post #1. I haven’t done any additional work on this profile as I’ve moved to a Warthog stick about a year ago.

seems really good, althougth i haven’t tested it for myself yet. however i don’t like the idea of haveing to press 2 battons to reach my countermesurs, nor do i like the idea that using countermesures changes other keys, or using certin keys prevents me from using countermesures at the same time… other then that this seems good

Limitation of the device. RL F16 stick has 4x 4-way switches; X-52 has 2. It’s basically a matter of personal preference how you want to use those two 4-way hats.
One alternative that I used in an earlier version was to have the CMS Forward (run selected CM program) duplicated on button “C”, instead of ‘Screen shot’ which is there now.
Your concern is valid, but it is my experience that the issue you describe is more likely to effect comms than counter-measures. That is you’re more likely to have a need to talk and do something else than to need CM and do something else.
Another alternative would be to re-arrange TMS/DMS/CMS/Trim so that TMS & CMS are un-shifted and DMS & Trim are shifted.

i’d probebly take your sugestion, ifi had the slightest clue how to edit this… i’d also move my radar cursr control to where the bar scan and azimoth scan changes are because my mouse joystick is compleatly broken (it arrived broken…)
