CH Control Manager Driving me Crazy…
-
Finally got round to installing U1 and getting everything set back up…
But having problems with my CH Products Stick/Throttle/Pedals…
It seems to lose the axis bindings every time I exit the game…
AND it refuses to recognise the X/Y axis on the Throttle Mini-stick…they show as axis in Control Manager - but when I go to assign them to the cursor in Controllers>advanced>avionics it doesn’t list Controller 2 X axis or Y axis only z axis (which is obviously throttle)
Any clues?
Cheers! -
Interestingly enough it looks like it sometimes assigns an axis (either x/y axis device 1 (stick) or x/y axis device 2 (throttle)) to Pitch/Roll axis deadzone…and I can’t “turn it off” by re-assigning that control to keyboard instead of an axis…very frustrating!

Not familiar with those products, but two things that might be useful.
Check the file x:\Falcon BMS 4.33 U1\User\Config\DeviceSorting.txt and make sure your devices are listed in the correct order. If not, re-order them.
In BMS Setup–> Controllers make sure the “Controller” box in the mid-left has your main/primary control device selected (usually your stick if the stick and throttle are separate devices, or your HOTAS if stick and throttle are a single device).

Hi
I have the same issue but do NOT have the file Devicesorting.txt. i read everywhere that i must edit this file, but i simply do not have it. I have DeviceDefaults .txt but not devicesorting.txt. What do i do in this case? Bms is updated to 4.33
Thanks,

A few things to check:
- is CHCM in mapped mode?
- not sure about 4.33, but if you started the sim in 4.32 without being in mapped mode, or without the controllers being plugged in, it would reset the assignments. I believe i got around this by making my keyfile read-only and trying my best to remember to have my shit lined up before starting the program!
BTW, you can simplify CHCM somewhat by setting your controllers in mapped mode on boot-up… see here: https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?10154-Starting-CH-Control-Manager-in-Mapped-Mode
Let us know how it goes!
