Trying to get my cougat hotas recognised by my W10 PC
-
Hey Viper drivers,
I always used my cougar stick directly via the windows control panel. It always worked fine but I tried to start using HOTAS CCP and FOXY. the documents said to hold the trigger while plugging in the joystick. The result is that the CCP does not detect my cougar and that the regular w10 control panel does recognise the device but there are no axis anymore. The final result is that CCP does not work but I also cannot calibrate my stick anymore.
Is it possible to reinstall firmware?
BTW I run the throttle through TUSBA and I just installed VIPERGEAR VFS
Any of you guys a clu?
Cheers,
Windmill

did you follow carefully, step by step, the instructions for installing in Win 7 64 bit?

Badger and Redneck,
I first removed all my cougar listings as suggested by redneck. After that I installed using Badger’s link. I selected the windows 8 compatibility mode in the properties.
But to no avail. I keep getting the E2 failure after starting the CCP. I also followed the troubleshoot page. But it keeps saying the cougar is connected. (In USBdeview it shows as connected)

Did you do a reset,
Disconnect the usb
Hold the trigger and plugin the usb while trigger pressed for a sec or ~5. -
Redneck, Badger,
after fiddling around I was able to try everything over again. and I was able to connect to CCP. So I managed to finish with the VIPERGEAR manual. So, I think I m good now.
cheers

Any idea what did the trick?I think the TUSBA was preventing detection. After I disconnected and did everything again it started to go uphill from there. The only thing now is that if I put my values (using CCP) at 320-330) I get good response for the roll. But not for the Pitch control. I can pull stick but I cannot bring the nose down.
any suggestions?
