Ok. Three Airbases were made from scratch (Souda AB, Andravida AB, Nea Anchialos AB). The rest ones (including Larissa AB) is an old customized one. That means that in the upcoming releases, these Airbases will be removed and will be created from scratch like the aforementioned three ones. So, Larissa AB may have some issues, since we didn’t bother to solve them, because -as we speak right now- this airbase is deleted and a new one has been just included.

Ok Mystic. I read about the campaings. Sorry. Still though the Souda airbase its not where it supposed to be its moved thats why i asked about it. But ok i know its in beta state yet. And by the way i made great progress on shading the Phantoms. Soon i will have the models for Ikaros ready. Only the skin editing has to be done and they are 100% ready

Great news. As for campaigns, they will be fully playable in the next release.

In the Ikaros settings choices we have an option for different maps :
When I try to choose one here’s the message I have (Although campmap.idx files are in folders) ???
Failed to apply patch Colored High Res Map – File not found (C:\Falcon BMS 4.33\data\add-on ikaros\docs\f4patch\atsalis map\art\resource\campmap.idx) -
Uncheck all map options and check one per time and see if that works.
I think the problem is here: C:\Falcon BMS 4.33
By default the folder name is C:\Falcon BMS 4.33 U1
Did you rename your BMS 4.33 folder?

You were right. The settings exe was pointing by default towards the 4.33’s folder (That i still have on my HD).
It works now !

My carrier / CVN problem had to do with a timing issue, so all seems good now.
I don’t recall being able to see taxi lights at Souda, but this may also be an issue (vertex / pixel lighting) on my end, will check ASAP.

Please check the UHF tower frequency on SOUDA to in Navaids List.pdf IS 363.00 inside cockpit knee board is 343.00
also check that if you have response from tower in both frequencies
i check the UHF in kasteli tower and the tower is ok
In Souda when you put the UHF 363.00 there is no response can you reproduce?

Hello everyone, greetings from Turkey!
As you can see at the video terrain textures are surging. I saw that problem couple times usually near the seaside and airports. I can give you coordinates if it’s necessary for fix.
I just downloaded Ikaros 4.0.0 and get faced with some bugs and texture problems.The second one, When i add a package like “2 Ship F16CTM Block 50 192nd Sq.” the result is like that:
One of the aircrafts is C model and one of is D model, beside they are in same package and have same tail numbers.The third one is about Turkish F16 Skins…
I couldn’t check it for all D models but here is the problem:
D models have a blank point near the canopy…The fourth one, i hosted and other pilots connected well but when some of us press the loadout button sim get crashed. We cant set loadout.
These are my first impressions hope you can fix theme at next update, thanks for your effort guys.

One of this is pilot’ s body.Pilot’s body hampers seeing of left and right back of panels in 2D and 3D vision.Unfortunately ı dont have 3 -D Glasses. Other, taxi ways.Resolation of taxi ways are not the same as runways.it seems blurry. Another is airbase oproaching charts.I dont find charts in docs file. And last one, ı wonder when campaigns will come out. Best Regards.

I had the same problem and its not from the theater but from the graphics card. For me setting ‘‘Texture Filtering Quality’’ from quality to performance solved the problem on my AMD card.

Last, by default the pilot’s body & legs are depicted within cockpit. If you want to remove them, go to C:\Falcon BMS 4.33 U1\Data\Add-On Ikaros\Art\ckptart, select the F-16 folder from your F-16, open 3dckpit.dat and select cockpithudmodel 4; For more details, read Ikaros Models (Raptor).xlsx (C:\Falcon BMS 4.33 U1\Data\Add-On Ikaros\Docs\Notes).
Airbases
Currently, three (3) Airbases were created from scratch (Souda AB, Nea Anchialos AB, Andravida AB). The rest A/B are either customized from the previous versions or the stock Korean ones. In future versions we will create all 88 A/B (from small airstrips to big airports) hand by hand. That is, each airport will have its unique appearance. The good news is that this process will not take a huge amount of time. Currently, we are working on new 3D models which will populate the aforementioned airbases.Also dont forget its still a WIP.

Hi. We did that on purpose in order to diversify flights. The training DB (that’s the name for it) will have a mixture of C and D models. Go to C:\Falcon BMS 4.33 U1\Data\Add-On Ikaros\Docs\Notes and open Ikaros Models (Raptor).xlsx. There, go to Training DB tab and check the different combo between C and D models.
Also check the changelog. In future we might abolish this concept or we might keep two different DBs. One training and one operational.

I assume you are referring to turkish airbases. Three Airbases were made from scratch (Souda AB, Andravida AB, Nea Anchialos AB). The rest (including all the turkish) are old customized ones. That means that in the upcoming releases, these Airbases will be removed and will be created from scratch like the aforementioned three ones.

Current Ikaros DB contains only 1 “version”, the TRAINING one, this is also displayed in the bottom right part on the main UI screen. By “training db” we wanted to have mixtures of C & D models in a flight package (as and with/without CFTs if Block available), representing real ops and simulating real squadron available assets. Please not that this “approach” is under test/evaluation. There ARE some known issues, but we kindly expect from the theater funs to shoot us with bugs and issues of potential bugs we haven’t discovered yet and potentially might be a future feature no-go. In the next release will be another DB “version”, named OPERATIONAL, both selectable through F4Patch. This version will have the aircrafts as appropriate, all sq assets to be the same model.
@731-Savas, thank you for your kind words and testing our product. Except the above that apply for your q’s, about Turkish Vipers, most C platform models are ok for now. Most D models are wrong: Since there were no published models from JanHas before, I’ve quickly used available models with quick skin updates just to create the DB records, that’s why you see errors, black parts, even model differences (chutes, hud types, ashm, etc.) All are known, no bugs there. In the near future JanHas will kindly provide new high-detailed LV3 Viper models for all HAF & THK assets, these will be included in future Ikaros releases as they become available.
I suspect that the crash you encourage with the weapons loading crash might be logical, as an extent of the training db implementation. The TE creator IS responsible for loading the weapons on the flight package during TE design, with the knowledge in mind (advising the sq-layout excel) of what member is what C, D, wCFT or not. If MP players try to change their #2/3/4 flight position weapons, it might crash, we haven’t tested this atm, but we will test.
