YAME64 suite
-
I’m using YAME and it works great for me.
Glad to hear
Last week though I shut down the computer with YAME still active on the second screen and the setup part minimized to the taskbar on the main. Next time I booted up the computer YAME started minimized to the taskbar, but there was no way to make it visible on one of the screen. I needed to uninstall and reinstall to get it working normal again. And of course I didn’t backup my set up [emoji23].
Some people reported a but that when you don’t uninstall 1.0 and install 1.1 over it, the yame64.xml in the cfg folder is kept (as it should). However in v1.1 the feature was added to save the windows position in that xml. It seems that, in some case, when starting v1.1 the first time the value gets set to -32000 and so it is not visible to the user…
If it happens again, check your yame64.xml file for those coords first and set them to 0 0 before uninstalling
This should be fixed in the coming v1.2Like YAME a lot, keep up the good work [emoji106]
Thanks, a big update is coming soon. Still doing final tests and then need to find time to update the manual again.
PS: what are the odds. Your nickname is Terminator and I’m currently wearing my Skynet T-shirt

place the yame window on the screen/location where you want, and don’t forget to check the “mask” option in the window tab for that specific window. Ref manual page 52 or 55
That way Helios is visible behind YameTried that , it just changed background to grey from white but still blocks out helios!!

that shouldn’t be the case. Mask should make the entire yame window transparant apart from the active gauges/textures.

Strange, can’t reproduce. .
Here’s log , if you can pull out something from it… and settings pic, as it were in 1.0.0 … - now I have to decrease vertical size to 1023… then it is working…OK…
Really strange.
… it seems like window size or position … out of bounds… when starting bms, it crashes with d3d error and it creates only 1 image in log file, for 1 monitor… but since I have 2 monitors, ‘normally’ it always creates 2 images on bms other crashNew feature in development currently is to allow the user to chose any image file on his computer to be used as kneeboard image in Yame.
Cool, kinda beat me to it
a DMS like key to switch main pages is a good idea! Will take that into the todolist. However note, as like the real F-16, the DMS switch only switches pages, not settings from a page. So you’ll be able to swap between, flight data - moving map- etc, but not for example toggle day/night map mode with it.
We are optimising though. For example instead of 2 different callbacks for kneeboard page 1 & 2 we’ve changed that to a single toggle callback. And you will be given the option to add the bezel with clickable/touchable OSBs tooExactly what I was thinking, and more on the way… Great.
Thanks Focaldesign

OK reinstalled YAME but still the same:-
I create a simple window called yame Masked ticked
I add left and right MFDs and resize and position them
I start yame client and they appear on my second touchscreen monitor in correct locations with a grey background( not transparent)
If I right click this screen the background disappears and drop down box appears at position of clickWhen I go back to main screen grey background on second monitor reappears
Is this something to do with loosing screen of interest???
Also I have difficulty turning of yame by using close window command!!!

First things first, are you using v1.0 or 1.1, and in case of 1.1, are you using 64 or 32 bit? And what OS are you running?
Secondly, what is your graphics card, drivers version and OpenGL version? -

Hi guys. I want to use a second monitor to extract all the Center Console in 1:1 scale. How many “big” it would be? Thank you

When entering the 3D world YAME crashes imstantly.Hi, I had the same issue (ref my message in Andrés topic), seems when you add Simshaker shortcut to Yame’s run list, it will point to a specific version of that software and starts acting weird when his software gets updated. So first try to delete the item from Yame, run simshaker standalone and make sure it’s updated to the latest version (indeed 1.1.1.49) and then re-add the simshaker back to yame run list.
That worked for me. Now I have no issues at all. -

Hi, I’m not sure I understand your question.
I can look up the approximate measurements from the center pedestal gauges if you want. Then it depends on your screen size & set resolution how big they will be in pixels. -

I try to explain better. I want to extract the center console into a second monitor. I want that the size of the instruments will be 1:1 as the real ones and that they are located in the right place and distance one each other. I believe that there’s already one profile you made into YAME for center console, am i right? So i need to know how many inches would be the monitor i need.

There are multiple layouts in the default install, some center pedestal versions are for analog block 50, some older block with needle VVI instead of tape VVI, some newer with EHSI instead of HSI, and then there’s the CP60 version of the pedestal.
They are all made for a screen of 1920x1080 and work best on a 27" screen with that resolution.Screen size in inches is the diagonal, so that doesn’t guarantee a certain diagonal size will match the dimensions you really need. For example my 27" has 60x35cm usable screen estate. But for my real pit I’m using a much simpeler 10.5" on 800x600 resolution placed vertically. So it all depends on the screen resolution + real dimensions.
I don’t have the exact measurements on me right now. Also, there’s a difference between the size of the inside part of the gauge, or with the outside part (as it is shown in YAME). I’m sure people on this forum, and certainly on Viperpits.org can provide close to real measurements for this.

Thank you for your answers! I like the 10,5" solution. Maybe i can take 3 of them and use it to cover the area i want. Thank you again

Hi FD,
i never had the Simshaker running from inside YAME, it runs always standalone. Strange……Strange, I don’t know the answer then I’m afraid. I had is issues with the previous version of Simshaker with BMS, after update it also needed a pc reboot and then the issue was gone.

Do not know how, but after updating to the latest Radeon drivers, switching on and off the RTT texture flag, an rebooting several times, i got it running.
But no idea whats the reason therefore. Core point, it´s runnig -
I’m getting this msg during installation " api-ms-win-crt-math-l1-1-0.dll missing" and the setup fails…I’m running Win8.1x64 , C++ x64 installed
Any ideas?Edit: Solved by reinstalling C++ 2015
