Setting up trim on x-65
-
Good Day, All.
Has anyone been successful in doing this, and if so, how? Also, on a related note: has anyone had problems with axis’ only showing a bit of the left edge of the band in UI setup?
I should explain what I’ve tried with trim. Rotary 2 works as roll trim. However, I can’t move antenna elevation somewhere else due to the “axis shift” described above. The keyboard call backs work on keyboard, but when I put it on Hat 1 and the Microstick(when banded) the trim rolls all the way over I I have to alt + enter to correct it -
Hi drtbkj,
I have X56 but since hats & rotaries on Saitek products work more or less the same, I thought some things might be relevant.
1- Can there be a problem with the deadzone/calibration setting for the rotary axis?
2- For X56, I set up trim on one of the hats on the stick (not on any of the rotaries) and that may also work fine for you. (i.e. Hat up/down : Pitch trim, Hat left/right : Roll trim, Shifted Hat left/right : Rudder trim, Shifted Hat up/down : Trim Neutral)
Hope that helps. Best regards,

Hi, Cashman, There is apparently some issue with using Hat 1 (or anywhere else I’ve tried) for trim as keycommands. It just goes “full lock” as described. And, I haven’t figured a way to make the hat axis’s.

Hi, that might be stupid of me but did you uncheck the “latched” option and programmed the command via “New Advanced command”?

On my x65 the trim is set with the pov hat by mapping the keystrokes.
