@Red:
And MAnos, forgive me to point it out without hard facts but I “feel” something is off with your nose
many scale models have it wrong and i made a lot of research about it - but i’m away from home so i don’t have the measurement here. But it looks off from the real thinghttp://www.ravico.com/ST/models/A6_AAR_A7/A6A7_062_A7_primed.png
this has been corrected with a heavily researched resin nose and intake (zacto)Ill research it and try to fix it thanks. By the way i remember that in the book i told u was saying about that. That 1/48 hasegawa has the problem so im preety aware. Ill do my best!

Unfortunatelly this model is gonna make my life difficult unless i ring it or quadify it in some parts as NOTHING is a straight line… Whoever made it it made it using Nurms probably and it doesnt have a single straight line in it But i know that for sure if i do something like that it will double maybe more the tris count… Another delema… damn…

I have no idea if this is of any use to anyone but here are some of my photos from my time at Araxos.
(The Hellenic Air Force is awesome). I’ve got lots more where these came from or if you need high-res photos for your modeling work, just let me know.

Dude, seriously awesome! Got any Phantom-Photos?

Well yes, I most certainly do. Greek ones in particular? Although this really isn’t the correct topic for them.

Anyway… How the new nose looks?
-
hmm looks nice but:
Red is your model outline blue is this blueprint:https://www.the-blueprints.com/blueprints/modernplanes/vought/68914/viewsingle/vought_a-7e_corsair_ii/
Blue blueprint fits like a glove… having some minor issues.
On a quick and dirty look seems the whole model has issues or I compare different models.

True that… Im working on the antennas now to make them smaller. I know what you saying as for the whole model the angle is wrong. That will be fixed when the other issues and details are fixed. Almost when im gonna be in 99% of completion. I did that also in Most of the models i ported. For example the p-3 beside other issues the original gmax file that the author sended me also had this “angle” issue it was 100% aligned with the “ground” witch actually its not true as it haves a slight (5 or more degrees i think) tilt towards the ground from back to front. Everything is under construction and whatever issues i find i try to fix or add or delete etc. Its not the best guide to have my 1/48 one but at least i have something that i can see up close to see whats wrong or not
EDIT : Another issue i spotted is the intake, I think its too round, I think the original is more oval than round
EDIT 2 : Nope as Red dog said most of the scale models are wrong in that section. Heres a picture of the real one. Maybe a little bit more oval like mm wider than round… hmmmmm…

http://www.delbertsscalemodels.com/images/Aircraft/A7E_Corsair_II/A7E_Corsair_II_02.JPGWell it’s not the angle only. I tried to use many calibration points but couldn’t fit. If I had the whole model it would be better.
I even compared red and blue only.
Red is higher on the y axis.sent from my mi5 using Tapatalk

I will try to see it Arty and see what i can fix

If the model is the same as the blueprint I linked it’s easy to check it.

I corected a bit. Still need some scaling and its gonna be ok i think. But are the blueprints 100% Accurate? I dont trust them too much to tell you the truth, And i believe as is its ok its 95% close to the blueprint
and another one non transparent

159949 and 159952 are A-7Hs and 160865 is a A-7E (ex-USN). The fresher paint job on the A-7E is a bit of a give away.
As a bonus, here’s probably one of the rarest A-7s I’ve ever photographed:
And okay, while we’re going through the old slide shoebox……:)

New Pylons plus the aim-9 racks, next update will be probably the refuelling probe
