About the default cockpit view
-
Hello guys.
I want to move the default cockpit view a little lower (not to change its size!). I’m talking for the cockpit view with key “3”.
Already set the “set g_fDefaultFOV” to desired 82 at the file “Falcon BMS.cfg”.
Here is my default view with key “3”:
And here is what I want to be my default cockpit view with key “3”, same exactly size but seemed a lower portion of cockpit:
If there is a way, please let me know.
Thanks in advance.

Has this not been asked so many times before? AFAIK, the answer is “no.” Changing FOV will only widen your view but you will still be centered on the same spot in the cockpit. I wonder if custom snap views can fix this? The most common suggestion is that if you’re using TrackIR, look up a bit, press your TIR-recenter button, and see the results. This way, when you look straight ahead IRL, your actual pilot head is looking a bit lower.

one way to do it

Afaik the default eyepoint position is embedded in the mesh model. It would have to be changed in LODeditor. Don’t ask me how.
You can adjust it after loading the pit with either TrackIR or using the mouse while holding MMB. -

If this is possible (that is logical to be), it will be much appreciated by me if someone points me to the proper steps to do it. Thanks.

If you don’t have trackIR you can move your view down with the mouse, like you probably did to make that screenshot. That’s the only thing I can think of.

Thank you.
As you said, I know to do this, and I don’t have a TrackIR.
I was just asking (like I mentioned in post 1) for a permanet/default solution for this.
Since we have this view with hit on key 3, it is logical this to can be changed. But I don’t know from where and with which factor…
Simply need a change to the defined vertical angle of the FOV.
