YAME64 suite

Hi Roccio and Focaldesign. I need some help. I was able to download and install the latest YAME release. However when I launch it I’m unable to set it up. Under the “Globals” tab the only thing I can access is the “View Client Log”. The Falcon BMS path and Active Theater drop down windows are missing, as is the “View Key File” button. The “View server log and View hook log, along with Remove Hook Files” are grayed out and also unaccessible.
Under the “Client” tab the GET DATA FROM SERVER button is active along with its associated Server IP and Port windows and Sync to server check box. But the Get Data from Falcon BMS is also grayed out and unaccessible. Under the Run tab I’m unable to Start the YAME Client or LAUNCH FALCON BMS. I’ve modified the set g_bExportRTTTextures from 0 to 1 as recommended. I’m missing something and don’t know what it is. Can you guys advise and hopefully provide a fix. Thanks again.

Did you do a clan installation?
-
Hello. I have the same challenge as mikemadmax. What do you mean a “clean install”. I uninstalled the previous version and deleted the folder. Did I need to do something else? Thanks very much ! FJP
Update: I read about the d3d9.dll file. Is that file used by YAME only or do other windows programs use it ie… Do I need to delete the file wherever I find it outside the BMS folder ?
-
No! Just delete the one in falconbms/bin/x64 where falconbms is your falcon installazione folder. Do not delete other dll
-
Thanks for getting back so quickly. Yep. I believe I did a clean install and, similar to FJP, I uninstalled the previous version along with deleting the d3d9.dll file from BMS’ BIN folder (as instructed) before downloading the latest update. Any suggestions on my next move? Your last version really rocked and I’d love to get v2 up and running.
Thanks again,

Hello
I got an issue since 1.2.1
when clicking on “Launch Falcon BMS”, the game starts but then crash on Tommo loading Screen :Falcon BMS.exe caused an EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION in:
000000000450D27B Falcon BMS.exe, D3DDevice::SetDisplayMode()+2011 byte(s), e:\wip\bms\svn\source\rel-4.33\graphics\ddstuff\d3ddevice.cpp, line 663

Hey guys. I think I found the fix. Window Mask must be checked. I’ll putz around with v2 a bit more to see if this addition corrects my issue. Stay tuned.

No Joy. I spoke to soon. While I’m getting my instruments to render across my 5 monitors, I’m still unable to launch BMS from within YAME. I still don’t have any visible input fields on the Global Tab window. Still looking for a fully operational v2.

Just a note to say the 1.2.1 is working great in my, non touch screen, client / server set up.
Thanks to the team for a great product and continued support.
and the price, can’t be beat :headb:

I did notice that in the older version, it asked if you wanted to setup a path (Yes or no), in the new version it just says the path cannot be found. Also, I do not see any d3d9.dll file in the bin folder after install. hope this helps in troubleshooting this issue that other don’t seem to have.

Again note, that as instructed in your setup notes for the new v1.2.1 install, I first uninstalled YAME v1.1 and then deleted d3d9.dll from my BMS BIN folder. Also note that, similar to fjp, I too no longer have a .dll file in my BMS BIN folder after installing the YAME update. And per the YAME Globals tab - the “REMOVE HOOK FILE” button is grayed out and does nothing, even after multiple presses. As I mentioned in my previous post, I don’t have any visible input fields on the Globals tab window. Its completely empty. the only button that works is the View Client Log below. FYI: Upon installation, I didn’t see a query for Setup Path either.

When it’s greyed out, it shouldn’t be doing anything, so that’s normal.
If there’s nog d3d9.dll file in the bin/x86 or bn/x64 folder then the button is useless anyway. As I mentioned in my previous post, I don’t have any visible input fields on the Globals tab window. Its completely empty. the only button that works is the View Client
FYI: Upon installation, I didn’t see a query for Setup Path either. The fact that it doesn’t ask is normal. Ref changelog:
- added autodetect BMS path
- added autodetect keyfile
- added autodetect dtc file
- added autodetect theater (for kneeboard & CP60)
YAME searches for those things in the windows registry. If nothing is available in the input fields, it didn’t find anything so something must be wrong with your registry maybe.
If YAME finds no BMS according to the registry, it thinks its a client on a second pc therefor you only have a working client button etc. -

ThanksHow is your 2nd screen positioned in relation to the first? Not physically but in Windows? I’ve noticed issues when it’s left of right of the main, but never when it’s above the main windows where BMS is drawn.
It can be worked around by positioning the screen above the main screen, or by making your yame window on the second screen 1px less then the width of the monitor. -
I have the same issue as mikemadmax. Can you share what registry entries this autodetect feature is looking for and can the autodetect feature be deactivated ? Thanks !!!
-
OK. Where can I find BMS in my registry?
-
Which windows version are you working on?
Also, have you tried running YAME as admin?Sent from my LG-H818 using Tapatalk

Hi BVT_Scorpion. Thanks for joining the quest.
Yes. I’m running YAME as Admin. No joy. My OS is Win 10 Pro. The frustrating point is that YAME 1.1 was working fine before the upgrade to v1.2. And per Focaldesign’s question: I’ve got five monitors (2 non-touch and three touch) - all arrayed vertically in windows Display Settings. I’ve reviewed my registry and I cant find BMs’s Bin .dll config file anywhere. I don’t know if its of any consequence but, I would think that BMS put it in the BIN folder for a reason. However, lets backup a bit. As a requisite for YAME’s v1.2 update, I deleted my BMS d3d9.dll from the .dll config file. Now I’m not showing any .dll config file in the BIN folder at all. I’ve checked my Recycle Bin and have noted the following:BINUSBWrapper.dll
Common.Compression.dll
Microsoft.DirectX.Directinput.dll
Microsoft.DirectX.dll
Phcc.dllAgain, I’m not certain that these .dll’s are of no use or should be restored. Any insight would be appreciated.
