Pc strength question

Ok, Trump. You have a problem just like him, so the comparison is accurate.
I never said I was moving to DCS. You’re wrong again.
You have no idea what the definition of polite is. At least I know I wasn’t.
Not sure if i’ll stay with BMS, but I know i’m not going to have you involved in the decision. I don’t have to post here to stay with BMS. Maybe I can find a squad to join.
Go ahead and get the last word in. I know you won’t quit until you do. I’m sure you need to repeat everything at least once more.

Trump’s problem is Trump. My problem is you and your selective reading.
I never said I was moving to DCS. You’re wrong again.
Did you miss the LINK I posted earlier? Here is a direct quote:
@BuzzU:I just tried the colors in different weather conditions. Even changing colors I can barely see the HUD sometimes. Part of my problem is I lost the sight completely in one eye. This seems to have put more strain on the eye I can see from and it tires out quickly. Straining to see the HUD tires it out pretty quick and then I can’t see it in even good light.
I really wanted this to work, because I love the F-16. However, it’s no fun if I can’t see. It’s best I stay with DCS. I don’t have a vision problem with it. Sorry guys.
Cya
Emphasis mine.
You repeated yourself TWO POSTS LATER…
@BuzzU:True, you don’t know. I’m not a troll and everything I said is true.
I was curious what would be said. Ok, i’ll be over at DCS.
Take care
Emphasis mine again.

What made you even think I wanted to get involved in your decision to stay with BMS?? Interesting how you decide to take some things to PM, but act like this on the general forums.
Go ahead and get the last word in. I know you won’t quit until you do. I’m sure you need to repeat everything at least once more.
Unfortunately, some people keep repeatedly missing important bits of information…. an even more select few continue to miss the same info even when pointed out to them. I’m not worried about having to repeat myself… I’m not the one who can’t get the message.
-
My PM should have told you I decided to stay with BMS and you talk about selective memory.
Trump has that too.
Your turn.
-
My PM should have told you I decided to stay with BMS and you talk about selective memory.
LOL!! I wasn’t talking about your decision to stick with BMS when I refer to your PM…. I was referring to your attitude. A stark difference in the PM and your conduct here.

That’s what happens when you give me a hard time in public. I don’t take it in person and I won’t take it on a forum.
I made a joking comment about winning the lottery and off you went. The whole thing is stupid and not worth the effort we’ve put into it.
Why don’t we just forget it and start over?
-

I thought you didn’t get offended that easily? Also, good idea of bringing ego into an internet forum…. yeah, that’ll get you to places!
@BuzzU:Some people get offended easily. It doesn’t bother me and it shouldn’t bother them until they spend time in my boots.
Emphasis mine.
I made a joking comment about winning the lottery and off you went. The whole thing is stupid and not worth the effort we’ve put into it.
The lottery thing was not where I went “off,” I only responded to that because joke or not, it was an inaccurate statement whether we are talking about price or odds. It’s when you started insisting on $200 when I clearly said otherwise that things started going downhill fast.
Why don’t we just forget it and start over?
Nah… you’ve shown your true self here, Pete. Good job. If you can’t handle being challenged on the odds of finding a cheap, modded Cougar, if you can’t handle being challenged about missing important points in a post, if this is what you call “giving you a hard time,” then maybe the internet isn’t for you. You’ve called me “annoying” and “a pest” when I was only trying to help you, and now you’ve called me “Trump,” and without even an apology, you ask me to “forget it and start over?” What a laugh!!
I know you’re getting fed up with me repeating myself here, but you’ve still missed the message so I guess it bears repeating…
@-Ice:Maybe next time, think about it before hitting that Post Quick Reply button

You can’t tell the difference between offended and pissed? I’m a mod on a couple of forums. I had you figured from the beginning. I was sure you’d turn down a truce and that shows who you are. I thought i’d give you a chance to do it anyway.
You’re so petty and childish. It’s comical that you think you’re right in all this. I’ve watched you post for years and there’s not really any surprises in all this.
You’d never last in my world. You don’t have the guts. Just all mouth.
Cya kid.

Hahahaha!! So you’re the bigger man now? You must be confused. YOU were the one calling me names, then “offer” a truce with nary an apology? Comical! Thanks for also confirming that it was an empty gesture from the start. Again, you’ve shown your true self, Pete. Nice work!
You’re so petty and childish. It’s comical that you think you’re right in all this.
How can I be wrong about my own recommendation? Apparently, you still don’t understand how that works. As for the rest, I’ve already shown how your “winning the lottery” statement is wrong.
I’ve watched you post for years and there’s not really any surprises in all this.
Bullsh!t. You didn’t know how to deal with Steam, you were unaware of what callbacks were, and your join date is April 2017. And you’ve been watching me for years? Pfft! You must not know how the BMS forums work….
You’d never last in my world. You don’t have the guts. Just all mouth.
At least I don’t get pissed/offended because I post with my ego on full sensitivity and I made myself look like a fool in an online forum. Who said I wanted to be in your world anyway? Hahahahaha!! First you think I care about whether you stay with BMS or not, now you think I want to be in your world? Thanks, but no thanks.
Cya kid.
Bye! I do hope you enjoy your time in the F-15 and in DCS and enjoy your interaction with other ED forum members.

Could you two gentlemen perhaps consider having this debate through private messages, e-mail or anywhere else?

get one of those budget cards nvidia makes but uses ddr5 on the card, they make one in 2gb and 4gb. I have to go against common knowledge here, if money is no object, like it was for me, I listened to everyone telling about the warthog. It was utter shit, o ring problems, target sucks, temporary switches, it requires much upkeep and know how to use it…the metal is heavy, it’s unforgiving and like I said, maintenance.
The best upper level hotas for VR, windows games, and falcon in my opinion is the x-56 rhino. No problem with pov hats, awesome easy to use keyboard emulator, three modes. no problem with button amounts, no temp switches, nice feel, nice weight.
you could read this forum for quite a long time, and use excel sheets to make your buttons work, edit keyfiles etc etc etc or you can just get an x-56 and set it up once. A guy that got banned here as well made a really sweet profile for the x-56 in the saitek sub forum in hardware.
most important thing for falcon is trackir, so start there and work out…moore’s law, just be patient and be vigilant, sales on hardware all the time, you just have to be sure about what you are doing.
just my 2 cents.
-
i think nvidia made a geforce640 or something like that and a TI version, one has 2gbs of ddr5 the other has 4Gbs…dude i snagged one of these for 89.99 a few years back, I popped it into an old amd phenom 2 system and it pumped HDMI at 1080p on a vista machine like a champ. I’m not bragging I’m trying to open your eyes to possibility.
you could snag something like that and up your visuals, and find a joystick you like, or save for the one you want.
Patience and video games don’t go together, let me make you aware too, if you’re in new mexico or western US, inbox me, I have quite a bit of hardware, I have one of the video cards I’m talking about and I also have every single HOTAS stick produced over the past 5 or so years, like I said, I made the mistake of listening to others.
I’d trying to turn a new leaf and be less of an asshole in general, here, in the sky, and in life. Money sucks, we all need it. PM me if I can be of help and you want to talk figures. have a nice sunday.

How long have you had the X56? Personally I much preferred the looks of the X55. That was my first go-to-HOTAS option for getting back into BMS. However, reading review after review blasting the general piss-poor construction and high failure rate made me change my mind. Also the purchase of MadCatz by Logitech made people nervous about support and customer care. All of which was disappointing as I really did like the feel of the X55 in the store, though the top hat placement on the stick was a little awkward.
I do hope that Logitech releases a better X56 MkII or X57 HOTAS because the way I look at it…. the HOTAS market is a shambles now. You either get a super expensive Warthog (which is awesome but I want a TQS, not an A-10C throttle), take a huge risk with a used Cougar which aren’t cheap either or go with a X55/X56 and hope it doesn’t break. Or you get a X52 Pro which seems to be a little more resilient. Then there are the CH Combat/FighterStick with Pro Throttle but that’s really 20 year old 8-bit hardware with an USB converter thrown on top of it. That aside, CH gear seems very reliable and sturdy though. I just can’t get over that Pro Throttle.
I just wish Thrustmaster (or anyone else for that matter) would re-release the Cougar TQS for use with the Warthog (since it’s the same as the F-16 stick anyway) and re-release a high-quality plastic F22Pro/FLCS with TQS as a lower-segment filler. A high quality plastic FLCS with TQS and perhaps even some rudders for $250 would do very nicely in today’s market.

As I noted, I find it interesting that he could take some topics to a PM but chose to do this in the open. Funny.

Interesting that you should say that. There seems to have been a time after it’s initial run when the TM WH suffered a lot of problems, people complaining of sticktion, bricked throttles with certain motherboards, etc. but that seems to have died down as time went on. Personally, my stick base died early on and I had a downtime of about two weeks as it was replaced by TM for free, after that initial hiccup, smooth sailing.

Yep! TrackIR should be before any pedal purchases

I think my HOTAS research was well before this as I only had the X52 and X52 Pro to compare against the other options…. and the general unreliability of it made me stay away. Ironically, the TM WH was brand new at the time I got it and considering how much maintenance the TM Cougar needed… I guess I took a big leap of faith there, but not too big as I got the TM WH on a Christmas sale

+1 for a Cougar TQS standalone!

So I agree with the overall basis of your post in all points. Nothing is perfect, HOTAS market is garbage, all of this I agree with, there are good products but it’s not a good market. So, I’ve been on both ends, I had a madcats x-56, it was nice, perfect, still is, the thing is solid…used it for heavy over a year, dcs, elite, falcon , warthunder, etc etc etc etc etc…so then one day, i wake up…go to fly, notice the rudder is off to the starboard side by about 13 degrees. So I do what many have, decry the reviews…etc etc etc.
I go through the dance, because as you noted, they changed hands. call madcats, get the message, eventually. call up logitech. it’s a new thing the guy doesn’t know anything “i’ll have someone get back to you”
****, great, there goes that. So I already had the Ch gear and the hog still, so I’m using those. Get a call from an area code in california. “Oh hey this is so and so from logitech, yeah we are over here taking possession of a bunch of hardware, what was it you needed?”
So they send me the box, brand new, sealed all the same stuff. I’m like, tits…they just gave me one, don’t even want the old one back. hook it up, fresh install , do the dance right…same problem. Call the number again, use the ticket. transfer, get to a lady who sounds like she is out the door " i’ll call you on thursday."
So we talk again, “hold onto it, don’t use the rudder, thanks for giving us feedback.”
bout 90 days later, logitech box shows up. x-56. plug and play quick setup guide. “Remove all madcatz software before installing”
All three sticks work, rudder fixed. call boss lady. “keep em, thank you for the feedback.” sticks for life.

Well that’s surely refreshing and I appreciate the input. You don’t hear much good about MadCatz so it’s at least good to know that Logitech is offering good support for the X56!
-

I don’t know why their still here. Shameful hijack of the thread.

Didn’t know that it is now from Logitech now  I wonder if Saitek’s combat rudder is under logitech as well

It should be as Saitek was purchased by MadCatz and they were purchased by Logitech recently.
However I don’t know if they support the rudders as on-going product as well. At least they seem to support the X56. -

You’re absolutely right. I promise it won’t happen again. I normally won’t let anybody get to me like that. My bad.

Wow!! So the “loss of calibration” was a software issue? Nice way to get three sticks! I had a similar experience maybe two decades ago now, but that company went bust (Gravis joystick) so it’s nice to hear this support from Logitech.

Seems like they still offer the normal rudder pedals but not the combat rudder pedals
