Hi folks,
how does one remove the full pilot body from the F-16C-52±CFT? The method outlined in the 4.0.0-docs-Folder doesn’t seem to work, I followed it to the letter and I still have the full pilot body in the cockpit. (I guess the id “4” only works for the “vanilla” F-16?)
I hope the next update includes the possibility to switch between different pilot models in all F-16s using the theater configuration tool… that would be a very nice feature to have.
All the best,
Uwe

cockpithudmodel 4;
-
Nope, sadly this only works for the stock F-16 (“instant action” shows the legs only model just fine), the 52±CFT still has the full pilot body.
All the best, Uwe

Works for me here.
-
Weird, thanks for checking, Mystic. I’ll need to look into this some more then.

I just checked the cockpit again and this one (where the “leg replacement” does not work) has the “brake chute deploy” switch where you’ll normally find the radar RF switch (normal / silent /off), so maybe it is a different cockpit after all?
All the best, Uwe

Thank you Ripper! 9587 (as opposed to 4) did the trick in the CFT.

How to add Carrier Task Force in the Campaign? I found out the Carrier was not in the objectives list.
-
I know this has been asked and answered, but I can’t seem to get anything to work for me. To remove pilot model, I have checked my 3dckpit.dat and it is set as per on page 6 of this topic, with cockpit models 1, 2, 3, and cockpit hud model 4. I still have the full pilot model in all aircraft it seems. Putting in 9587 doesn’t appear to work either for me, as it did for hoover. Any ideas?
Thanks!

Hi
Try this:
Here are the instructions I’ve used: By default the pilot’s body & legs are depicted within cockpit. If you want to remove them, go to C:\Falcon BMS 4.33 U1\Data\Add-On Ikaros\Art\ckptart, select the F-16 folder for your F-16 variant, open 3dckpit.dat and select cockpithudmodel 4; For more details, read Ikaros Models (Raptor).xlsx (C:\Falcon BMS 4.33 U1\Data\Add-On Ikaros\Docs\Notes).
Don’t use any third party software (like LODedit) and just do exactly what it says above. If you still want the pilots legs to display without the body then 3546 rather than 4 should do the trick.
Cheers

I fell into the same trap… used LODedit “out of habit” which didn’t work anymore, then followed Duke’s instructions to edit the ckpitart file as outlined above (it’s much easier than messing with LODedit, too :D) and it worked like a charm.
All the best, Uwe

Guyz, anything you need is already there prepared for you, exactly for such cases. You only have to check documentation for the numbers and know where to change them.
In future will be more easier through F4Patch selections.

Hi folks,
I’ve tried changing the cockpit hud model to “legs only” in the F-16CM-50 by changing this file:
G:\bms\bms433u1\Data\Add-On Ikaros\Art\ckptart\F-16CM-50\3dckpit.dat
and editing the appropriate line like so:
cockpithudmodel 3546;
Still I’m seeing only an empty pit (no legs, no boots, no kneeboards) when entering 3d. I’d be most grateful for any ideas what I’m doing wrong here.
According to both WDP and MC the f-16 model used is the correct one.
Thanks & all the best,
Uwe

Hello m8… Things in Ikaros r different than stock DB.
In Ikaros folder there is a doc folder.
in there go to Notes folder and open Ikaros Models (@Raptor).xlsx
Once opened go to worksheet F-16 ckpart 3dckpit
There is what u r looking for.
As I see it F-16C-50-341 must be 3546. I checked the 3d model and has only legs and hud.
So when in falcon do you select the 341sqdrn or 347sqdrn F-16 for your flight or something else?
Last the folder should be
G:\bms\bms433u1\Data\Add-On Ikaros\Art\ckptart\F-16C-50-347\3dckpit.dat -
Hello Arty, thanks for your comment.
1 must be 3546. I checked the 3d model and has only legs and hud.

Last the folder should be
G:\bms\bms433u1\Data\Add-On Ikaros\Art\ckptart\F-16C-50-347\3dckpit.datI select neither: We’re using Duke748’s mini campaign based on and around Crete (or rather my older TE “kritiki elpida”), and the aircraft type listed is simply
F-16CM-50
no “sqdrnXXXX” attached to the a/c type whatsoever. That’s why I’m so confused that editing the dat file mentioned above doesn’t change anything apparently…
All the best,
Uwe
