Id strongly recommend checking out either the FCC3 or FSSB products if you need to replace anything to do with the sidestick, gimbals or pots.

The pots you require are now very rare, perhaps even unobtainium, hence BWs suggestin you go out and spend approx €400 on the Cougar. That said, it is money well spent.

I think I have some you could have, but I’d need to double check. Having said that, I too would heartily recommend FCC3

+1 for the FCC3…!

Just email Thrustmaster Support. They are still available (for the TM Cougar) and cost 27 Euro. Which I think is them taking the piss at a massive scale but still.
I got the above info back from Thrustmaster Support on 22 Nov 2017 so it’s pretty current.

I think TM has only the throttle’s pot available for 27 euros and not the side stick’s. I’ve recently contacted them too.

Good news, I have a brand new, unused potd here, as well as two used ones with wires attached. I can chuck them you way, much cheaper than TM prices.
Or, another option is the Uber II NXT I have just put up for sale…

I’ve had had same problems with my Cougar’s pot; after a long use, they start to show the common issues many Cougar’s owners well know. That pot basically are CTS series 251 and they’re really hard to find, even in internet. A very good solution I’ve found (stick only) is to get the pots from THRUSTMASTER Joystick T. Flight Stick X. Model is the same and there are three of them available for the stick (rudder’s pot is a little bit different ). The installation only require an easy tin soldering of three wires to the X and Y Cougar’s connectors. I was lucky enough to find the THRUSTMASTER Joystick T. Flight Stick X at special price of 15 Euros (about 17 USD), but normal price is about 30 USD, not so much after all, related to the cost of the Cougar.
About the TQS, I’ve used a standard 100KΩ rotary pot ( very easy to get in every electronics supplier ), with a two gears command (taken from an old printer…).
Hope it will useful to someone.
Merry Christmas.
