YAME64 suite

Interesting that it affects some but not all…

Hi,
I have the same problem, Win 10, and YAME useless since last update, the CPU usage is too high… Too bad

Too bad for Windows indeed! Just roll back to Windows 1703 and get back to enjoying YAME. No sense in being a Windows beta tester

Just updated to v1.2 and have a couple questions.
1) Texture Overlay.
Previously, I had my MFDs extracted to the bottom left and right corners of my screen, slightly transparent. Is this no longer supported? I don’t see a Hook tab anymore, or a place to select Texture Overlay. Nevertheless, I tried copying the yame_d3d.cfg file to the /bin/64x folder, but I get no overlays.2) Browser gauge output
Is it possible to output things other than the ICP to a browser? For example, can I output both MFD’s to a browser? If so, how would I go about this?
If I can get the MFD’s extracted and opened on a browser in my kindle fire (would prefer an app, but it doesn’t look like this is supported atm), I may have found the cheapest MFD display solution ever (low end Kindle Fire units go for ~$20). -
Wanted to see if anyone is running a similar config and has had any issues.
Have 3 monitors running surround on GTX-970’s and a 4th running on integrated HD-4500.
Had no issues extracting to the 4th monitor before but when I fired up YAME this weekend there was no display.
Moved the YAME window back to the main displays and it worked fine. Tried to drag it back to the 4th monitor and it starts flickering in/out on that monitor and then just disappears.
Same thing happens when trying to Edit Gauges. There’s just no display.
Made sure drivers were up to date and created a 2nd window to test with, it does the same thing.
Can drag anything else but YAME to that monitor and it functions fine. Kinda stumped. -

Similar config, yes, issues, no.
See above for issues with drivers, might be the “latest drivers” causing issues, but just a guess.

Thanks Ice, been digging around and hopefully will figure something out. Nothing has changed on the driver front that I could tell, no issues with CPU % either.

Might be a good idea to take a video of this issue so as to help us understand it better? Have you tried displaying other things on the 4th monitor? Default Falcon CDE or MFDE working fine? Might be an issue with the monitor or your on-board GPU?

I’ll try to get a video. MFDE seems to work fine. Have never messed with CDE.
Can play videos etc on the 4th monitor so it seems fine. -

Ref http://www.yame64.com/download/changelog/ on the “-UI” section, bullet 4: removed hook tab as overlay function2: all static info can be done in a browser (I have a work in progress cockpit with panels and switches), but textures I don’t see happening in the nearby future.
If you have a windows tablet, you can install YAME client on there too and receive the textures from the YAME Server on your BMS pc. -
Thanks for the response!
Is there a reason texture overlay was removed? I really liked the ability to overlay translucent displays over my main display.

Difficult to maintain & support that part of code in relation to all to other changes and additions in v1.2 and coming versions.

I don’t get the last update…eg 1.21 from 1.1…
I mean…all you need to do is just unintall, clean, install new, fill in all previous coordinates into the new version and…then…just fly?
I must be doing something wrong…or these two just made a mess…I’m sure of it
In short: what a splendid job mates !
Well Done !!! -
Everytime i run the YAME64 exe on my windows 10 machine it says “yame64.exe has stopped working” and shuts down. I was able to have this working as a server, then it just stopped working. I always run apps in Admin, I even tried to uninstall, delete folders restart PC and reinstall and still wont work anymore. any idea would be great.

What version of Windows 10 are you using?

Pro

Er, no, I meant v.1511, v.1607, v.1703, v.1709? November Update, Anniversary Update, Creators Update, Fall Creators Update?

Jambo
what video card and driver do you have? -
Hi guys!
I fly the F18C in BMS and I’m interested in making a cabin using a touch screen with the combination of YAME64 and Helios. I understand that with the use of a touch screen I wouldn’t need to use a mouse. I would like to know if someone else has done something similar and what resolution and screen size he recommend. On the screen I would put Thrustmaster’s MFDs with double-sided adhesive. -

For what I can say is that I am working on a set of F18C gauges or the next version…
