Pillars Of Hercules (the famous rocks at both sides of the entrance to Strait of Gibraltar).
Edit: ddoc clearly beat me on this one…

okay, curiosity got the better of me and I had a go at setting up.
On the slave pc I have installed YAME64 however, when i try to run YAME64 on the slave pc I get a message “unable to create configuration file” I have installed the VSC++ redistributable on both machines.
I’m now thinking I need BMS on both machines?
No you don’t need BMS on the slaved client. The message is because it can’t write the config file in the folder.
Right click the Yame folder and check if it’s not set to “read only” (also not any subfolder) and also try running yame as administrator. -

Okay panic over, it all seems to be working now thanks again FD. I’m getting ~90 fps however, the extracted displays are a bit choppy, I’ve tried reducing the frame rate to 15 but doesn’t appear to make much difference so far it seems it might be usable, time will tell I guess.

Thanks FD, I’ll need to keep using the client only as it is not possible for me to, either run cables from the secondary pc or to have it next to the main pc….
Have you thought about using powerlan adapters?
Cheers, Uwe

FD is it possible for YAME to display the Block 60 CPD as a 3rd MFD (TGP page for example)?

unfortunately no, because BMS doesn’t support 3 separate mfd’s at the moment. It’s a wish for me too, but until BMS offers 3 of them, Yame can’t pull them from memory.

Cheers Uwe, I could’ve done with those a couple of months ago when I had to run a cable through the attic back to the router for my kids computer - she doesn’t know it, but, she’s hosting yame for me.
The problem was that even though I knew the two computers were wired to the router in trying to understand what I was doing, while I was doing it I had a bit of a “which ones any key” moment, thinking I had to connect my extra monitors to the pc in isolation.
Thanks for your suggestion, i’ll look to try these out on my plotter.

I’m having trouble getting YAME to run correctly, I’m hoping you can help.
Be gentle, I am quite new at all of this and not very computer savvy at all.
I had an older version of YAME installed, but I never got it to work correctly with little effort. I uninstalled that version and downloaded the latest version, then I read about deleting the .dll file and deleted that. Should have I deleted that before installing the new version?
YAME loads up fine, and I am able to set up the instruments on the second monitor as I’d like. I click on RUN CLIENT and the second monitor shows some instruments and some black boxes where others should be. I assume this is all normal up to this point. When I click LAUNCH BMS, BMS starts to load and then quits, sometimes I get an error, sometimes it just seems to self close. BMS launches just fine by itself (4.33 U2). I am running on Win7 64, one machine with two monitors. Am I right that I don’t need to touch anything with the SERVER side of things? I’m confused about the 3dhook, do I want that or not?
Sorry for being such a know-nothing newb, I really tried to comprehend the install instructions but I just feel lost.
Thank you,

Don’t use the Launch Falcon BMS button in YAME, use the usual desktop exe to run bms and do this after you press the start Yame client button in yame, just leave yame running, let us know does it work for you?
You don’t need to touch anything to do with the server side of things and if you do a search in the yame manual for 3DHook you’ll find an explanation for it

Thanks in advanceNever tested Ikaros theater, but next time you have the issue try to save the yame logs (found in yame install folder \logs) and send to me. Plus it would be great if you can add more informations. Like are you using yame in server/client or client only, are you using dll hook or default extraction.
Thank you

Thanks in advanceI have the same prob since last YAME upgrade and I didn’t figure it out yet. It happens only with all HAF F16 models. All other models have no issues. Yame logs don’t point the issue. That’s why I don’t use YAME with Ikaros. Maybe it’s a model’s graphics issue…

could be the extraction coordinates that are hot round for that particular Aircraft. i should install ikaros to test.

ddoc,
Thanks for the reply. I looked in the YAME /conf/ subfolder like you directed me to and neither of the files they told me to copy were in there. I uninstalled YAME, completely deleted everything YAME related, and redownloaded it. I set it up like last time, though this time everything works just fine! I can launch BMS from YAME without any problem. Awesome, one more baby step complete! Some day I’ll have the mini pit put together and running correct.
Thank you for your time!

EDIT: I found the AVTR light, apparently it’s not on the “others” tab. It’s still weird that YAME64 crashes when clicking the “others” tab on my end.
Thanks for this excellent tool!
Cheers, Uwe

rttTarget not 600 i think, looks like YAME works with 600
i saw this in NORDIC EF2K with 1024, i changed it to 600, but still floating with TrackIR in the EF.

If the ‘other’ tab makes it crash, there’s something wrong with a gauge in the xml that is part of the other tab.
Might want to open your config xml and delete all gauges that are set via the other tab and try to set them again then via the UI.
