Nordic V3
-
Oh, so great news then.
Thanks a lot, Ned, one less to be… worried
With best regards,
-
Add soviet navy fleet bases, murmansk, severomorsk and bombers and fighters airbases monchegorsk, Kilpyavr…
-
Will the F-52 be included for Norway?
-
-
Yep, but USNAVY need them more. (now they will have super slow Hornets and draggy C-Lightings only)
-
Soviet or Russian part of Nordic map has no objectives. Most town names in Nordic map are also just made up names. Someone volunteered to fix this, but No news from there lately. It is in the v3 to do pile. I need to update that post, just busy with other stuff right now.
-
Im all for the V3! Lets try to make things historically correct though. I noticed that in the cold war theater, when you fly a mission in 1979 there are AMRAAMs present which isnt correct. AMRAAMS entered service in 1991. Plus there is a couple of other historically incorrect features as well I notice but the “120s in the 70s” was a big one for me.
-
Also Ive been having issues connect to Tower Freqs. Every other theater I have no problems connecting to tower except for Nordic…
-
Frits and Molni are both helping to make the Cold War theater more 1984 as far as jets and load outs for sure. And there will be focus on ground units as well. The tower freqs are all good. Done by the Nav expert Nikos. Check the docs. I think this prob is one of two things. One : there are some towers that have no uhf. Based on reality from Nikos. Two: sometimes when making TE the flights were made as one team and the squadron is set as another. This can be avoided if close attention is payed during TE construction. Just make sure your flag matches your airbase color and this won’t happen.
Number two might not really effect tower , but it will pork awacs.
The terrain could use a few rivers, I don’t want the swamp it came with, but rivers and bridges in a few realistic places.
-
And more on tower for Dankster. If you set your freqs with data cartrige option, go to channel 1, select vhf, select tower, green in the box. Save.
Then go to channel 6 , set to uhf, select tower, and green in the box. Save.
If there is no uhf freq for that tower, then we just will use vhf.
Also the DOCs folder has detailed nav info for each airbase. I never set the radio freqs in the plane, I only know it can be done. This could be another way to set up freqs , but I can’t advise.

Just say when you need and I start to work on the pack of recommendations.

Can you be a little more specific?
First take a good look at the included file “Nordic Navaids list.pdf” into “Docs” folder. Then be sure that your aircraft belongs to the same “side” as the airport you want to contact its ATC (tower). Last if an airport has no UHF, of course try its VHF frequency.
IF after the previous still have problem, give me the details, means the name of airport as also the frequency that you try to contact and the “side” that you belong as also the airport.

For the next version, is possible to see all EPAF F-16 country ?
I imagine that if a conflict against the USSR had occurred, the other users of F-16 would have joined the conflict.Ok, i will to see a belgian F-16
And thank you for this theater, my favorite place to fly !

In case of a Nordic war very likle at German border war is also happening so Belgian and NL F-16s would be very, very busy…

Right, the campaigns in NTO is a small part of the start of ww3. Assuming War all over the globe is going on as well. We can look at some other f16s. I don’t know about these. would a added skin choice do? Or are we talking db work?
Skins would be easy. We could have them both in the docs’ skin folder and or added as a choice to db later.
-
Agree, dear Ned.
Skinning is a far easier job that putting hands on the db once again, with those possible odds hidden in this process.
But, according to Molni’s tactics perspective - on which I substantially agree, on my little own - and due to the continuous Air Forces upgrading process, most of all, I started to think that F-16s could be leaved to some second (or even third!) ops line tasks because too much obsolete, and thus vulnerable, in a true and realistic WW3 scenery… I can’t think what would make of them Tunguskas, or Pantsir mobile SAM systems even worse.
Time passes away.
(And what will BMS do to keep updated? I know, I know. This speech could also drive us easily too much far and beyond, but I’m afraid that we will be obliged to start it sooner or later.)Think this: AMI (Italian Air Force, I mean) crews are leaving our Tornados off (to be retired starting since this present year) for F-35, and the Aermacchi MB349 will take AMX ‘Ghibli’’ and MB339’s training, aerobatic and light-attack tasks’ place soon.
But this is just my own one little cent, of course.
With best regards to all of you dearest friends,

Just a note.
Tunguska is an army defense system (regiment level, but is assigned to battalions) while Pantsir is a PVO CIWS system for S-300/400s because of their limited 105 degree firing arc. Each S-400 (in plans) will have 6x Pantsir. So far are much less manufactured. Was made an army air defense conception Pantsir vehicle but so far nobody have ordered yet.
Pantsir is literally a “Tunguska on steroids”. with larger and similar looking two stage missiles (with such 2nd stage which does not have engine) and more fire channel on wheeled chaccis instead tracked. (Similar as S-300P/400 vs S-300V familiy.)
-
Pantsir is quite popular these year…according to wiki, many countries have it now.
-
Well If pantsir in much like Tunguska, a talented modeler may be able to do it fairly easily, I mean if several parts are interchangeable. But I know very little about model process.
Dfang made a very nice new FM for f35b vtol. And I see JanHas is working on a pit for f35. Also some other models may be available in the near future. So I know f35 subjects almost always cause a ruckus , but it looks like it is going to be a commonplace addition to a lot of countries. And some good attention is being made for it’s development in bms.
Right now we have Brit vtol f35b , Norway f35a, and US carrier version F35c. And no real f35 pit.
Dfang also made a USMC skin for vtol version. Before we start making a bunch of more skins for our current model. Let’s wait and see how some more development on this jet. It may change very soon.

Molni, ccc and starrats: all true, those yours.
And Ned, just one more: please consider to add also F-35 Italian skins, because what I wrote above…
at least of 6th Stormo (hint, hint)With best regards,
