LOD PT points
-
Could u be a little more detailed please? I can’t understand exactly what u want to do.
In general points work ok.
They slip away when they are to enter the runway? They take off from the wrong start point?Στάλθηκε από το MI 5 μου χρησιμοποιώντας Tapatalk

Hi,
I just tried to set PT points (as taxi-, runway lights) over runways and taxiway, but that hadn’t worked. They slip always under e.g. the taxiway.
Is there a way to place such a PT point over e.g. the taxiway?(Hopefully) TIA
EarlybiteMove the “Z” value higher? (In the case of Falcon World, that would be in the negative direction, [e.g. -1 is higher than -0.5 which is higher than 0 which is higher than 1]).
-
Normally in taxiway lights the node vector should be Z- 0.00, then the lights will be on top of the taxiway.
-
Those pics show what I mean:
The square is part of ‘Lights’ (to test) and the model ‘Lights’ is moved z=-0.5, and as you can see the square is above the runway, but not the PT points…
I’ve also had a look on ‘02_20_Airbase_2 Rvr’, the same if you move ‘Lights of chap’ they can move under the runways/taxiway and aren’t visible at night…
But, Eghi, IIRC I’ve seen PT points visible over e.g. taxiway model…
-
what do u want to do?
lighted part of the runway?
then: https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?33157-Air-Base-Buildings&p=463514&viewfull=1#post463514 -
That’s the way it is…
So, is it simply possible to use PT points/nodes?
-
Why not texture it instead of creating and using a different feature?
When u say PT points/nodes?
In Falcon Editor as ur screenshots show u add features, why u mentioned them as it points?Στάλθηκε από το MI 5 μου χρησιμοποιώντας Tapatalk

a) No night textures, like e.g. night tiles
b) ?
c) ‘Lights’ is a feature installed by default, like ‘Lights of chap’ and is already used by the vanilla mod -
Hi,
I got it!
I’ve made the lines (for to get PT nodes) horizontal, no no, they need to be vertical.
Now I can make the taxiway lights over and inside this circles along the taxiway (especially this one parallel to the runways)…
Best regards
Earlybite (if I only got the lines completely aligned) -
I still don’t understand u m8, but since u got it, then it’s ok.

What? Let me explain to you…
On the taxiway are points, have a look here:
Or here:
And yes, both are from Osan…
And on these points are the taxi lights…
That was/is simple, not?First I’ve drawn the lines (which get PT nodes (for the RW-TW lights)) horizontal, but it has to be vertical. That’s “all”…
Horizontal is also working, but not upon e.g. a taxiway, this is what vertical do.I hope I could help you.
Best regards

First I’ve drawn the lines ……
The question is, where did you draw those lines? 3Ds Max, SketchUp or other 3d tools?

Me too.

Does that matter? You know that I’m working with Sketchup.
Sorry, but the Steak is eaten.
Now you stand in a line for warm beer?SCNR

Re rereading the thing I came to the conclusion that he wants to create the twy and rwy lights. So he created that plane to create the light points from the points of the plane.
Am I right?Oh dear, earlybite m8 we need an Enigma specialist 2 understand u. [emoji38]

Oh, third person thread, ok<ayay>.
But I will answer you:
No! The plane (that square) was only to see, if I hoovered the model and if that “plane” moves over the runway, to see, if that runway lights do that also.
Don’t make things so complicated, guys!Best regards
Earlybite</ayay> -
confused again…
the plane (that square) was only to see -> you mean for test?
If you hoovered the model you mean have it on top of another 3d model? Then do it on 3D application not in Falcon Editor. Don’t set z value in Falcon Editor. That is for future features not supported yet. and it’s like you have a helipad platform that is above the ground or sea. here you will set how high it will be so when the helicopter will try to land will park on that height and not get inside the 3d model of the landing platform.
If the plane moves over the runway? How the plane will move? you have an animation script activated or you are talking about an airplane that will taxi or takeoff over that plane?
Plane in 3d applications is a square flat polygon, a parallelogram like the one in your screenshot.if the runway lights do that also. -> do what?

Earlybite,
The lights only disappear when inside BMS Editor and if you have the lights feature selected on the left column.Place lights feature on top of the taxiway or runway and then select any other feature on the left column.
Then you will see the lights properly.
If you select again the lights feature, they will disappear under the runway or taxiway again.
This makes difficult to place them correctly, but I guess it’s a BMS Editor issue.Cheers

Hi Nuno,
yes, now I could notice it as you described.
Til then

Yeap noted and posted and asked to be fixed among other things asked for Falcon Editor.
