Did BMS quit converting .flt file to .vhs?
-
I flew MP with ACMI recording and BMS crashed when exiting from 3D (pressing ESC -> E)
Fortunately, .flt file for this flight has been file saved.
However, starting instant flight and exiting from this doesn’t convert .flt to .vhs.
Might this 65,000KB .flt file was broken or U4 don’t convert .flt file of previous file anymore? -
Same issue. I have an acmi0000.flt and I don’t know how to trick BMS into converting into a VHS.

IIRC due to other code changes weather and such if your BMS CTD’s on xit the flt wont b converted this is by design and nessecery as it converts on the fly and cant bee donee at any other time
it shoulld convert new files if you dont ctd but the previous one wont be converted as it has lost some info
not fully upto speed but thats what i have in my head

Well, that is a change from how it used to work. The .flt files were the full data, the .vhs files were the ones which had lost info.
Shouldnt be hard to take a well-formed .flt file and convert to .vhs. BMS does it normally, so it would be possible to have an external tool that converts from the .flt format to the .vhs one.
…probably easier and more convenient to have BMS do it though.

Yep. And (if I am not wrong), that is why it tooks so long for compilation after the flight. Now it is way quicker, but in case of CTD, .VHS tape is lost.
That’s the life.
