TMS is… different.
-
Long time Falcon flyer here–every single version including BMS flavors. Finally had some time to fart around in 4.33 and was immediately taken aback by how TMS functions how regarding dogfight override radar modes. Used to be in the past if you issued a TMS down, you could put the radar into “slit scan” mode, where it had nearly no horizontal track, and 60 degree +/- vertical track above and below the airframe, while the HUD would show a thin vertical line.
This seems to be gone now.
I have no idea how to make this happen with TMS. What happened?
I’m using a modded HOTAS Cougar + Pedals, and DUNC’s BMS profile and keys, though even that has changed between 4.33 and 4.32. In 4.32, the shift modifier wouldn’t issue sim commands such a zoom and views. Now it does–and is quite annoying. I lost everything a couple of months ago when a new power supply decided to fry all my hard drives.
Any help is appreciated.

60*10 still exist.
BMS manuals are located in you Docs folder. The first place to go to get all the answer you need about HOTAS configuration (in the Dash-1 and -34 for more details about radar submodes).
-
Well, see, that’s the thing. In the Dash-1 manual, as my memory recalls correctly, TMS down twice calls up 60*10.
Well, I do TMS down twice and… nothing happens when in ACM. Not sure what is going on?
-
Well, the first TMS down would be activating 10*60, the second TMS down would be deactivating it. HUD should display NO RAD after that TMS down 2x.
-
It’s not “twice,” it’s TMS down when 30x20 standby is active. If 30x20 standby is not the current mode then TMS down goes to 30x20 standby.
-
And make sure you don’t have your TGP as SOI or something.
-
Apparently my Cougar has developed some drift on the microstick.
If microstick drifts… TMS down won’t engage submodes, as moving microstick overrides all modes.
So alas, I need to use a deadzone for the stick.

vertical targeting mode right?

Yup.
