Dirty Haz’.
Ara’ never misses a party. Especially when he’s not invited…

Kotdammit, Haz’…!! My last post has an orphaned word. “clarifier”. I f’kin’ HATE that.
Can’t edit it, because you posted and my edit will have an “edited by” postscript.
I hate that postscript as much as I hate orphaned words.
But - not as much as I hate YOU for stuffing up my editing chance.1st: ha, bitch!
2nd: wtf is an orphaned word? Is like a synonym of bastard? -
@Ara’:
@KRAUSE - very nicely done dude…!
Very enjoyable…
Not just for n00bs, but for “returnees” AND - for those whom already know the systems - it’s a nice clarifier.
Do you have a video for “Popping the Canopy” and/or “Engagement of NWS”.
I’ve been stuck inside my 'Pit on the RAMP for about three days now, and I need a piss.
Cheers.
Ara’
NWS can be enabled by shift / - the only big difference between old versions of Falcon and this is that you need to turn it off on the take off roll, otherwise even the smallest incidental rudder inputs can break your gear. Also prone to bouncing.
Here is a video I made for allied force which shows how to do a ramp start, the same stuff applies to BMS:
I may make an updated one for BMS - but low priority right now.

I take it you’ve not encountered Aragorn before now?

Dude…!
That post was so sweet. I thought that you were joking, but - you were being kind.
You are a gentleman.
Cheers to you… :drink:
P.S. I may have created or documented the odd RAMP-Start thing or two…

LMAOOOOOOO.

Sorry this is my first foray into the falcon community, other than some sporadic and rare posting on the globalfalcon forums. I don’t know who is who ^_^

Don’t worry; you’re unlikely to forget Gorny.

Jeezus, the Gorn is BACK

Its been almost 3 years when i started to fly Falcon, and I’m still learning something new about this simulator.I have to say ,this is the most demanding simulator I ever played, and thats why I’m still love the Falcon.
Good job with tutorials

Question about the TGP, that might have been covered already, but I must have missed it:
Once TGP & AG mode are selected and running, 3 new rows of values appear on the lower left part of the HUD just under the AR(Radar Altitude) symbology. see video at 07:33
In this case:
F17.8 (distance to target/to ground ?) what does the F stands for?
02:17 ?
00 17.7 ?Could someone please clarify what those are ? some sort of distance/Timer countdowns or coordinates I guess…
Thank´s for your tutos Tyrspawn !

Line 1 Slant range to STPT
@Bushmaster78FS:B - range computed by barometric altitude and sighting point elevation
D - range computed by DTS
F - range computed by FCR
R - range computed by CARAIn A-G master mode the range is to the ground sighting point.
In NAV master mode the range is to the A-A target.
In AAM and missile override XXX is displayed when A-A target range is unavailable.Line 2: ETA to STPT
Line 3: Distance (Horizontaly think)> STP

These vids are invaluable. Just one request - are you able to upload the 1080 videos somewhere so we can download them?
I’m just thinking long term here for me as who knows what may happen to youtube or your account in the future and we are talking about Falcon here so we’d probably be playing this for another good 10 -15 years or so. These vids are too well done to get lost somewhere. -

Download DownloadHelper for Firefox. It allows you to download videos directly off YouTube. You can then watch them offline.

Quick question regarding your HARM Tutorial video! Think i might have asked this somewhere else on the forums but it still remains somewhat unclear to me!
Regarding the use of POS mode, in what sort of a situation would you deploy a HARM via this mode? From what i already know, and tried, is setting a tgt steerpoint right over a known SA2 location that’s not related to my flight plan.
Load that up in POS PB mode and deploy the 88 once within range. Now i’ve done this probably 50 times just today, and the missile keeps failing at hitting the designated target. Often it’ll impact close to the radar, but not close enough. This is most likely from what i’ve gathered due to the radar not emitting anything for the 88 to pickup. It just doesn’t make any sense for me to use that mode as 90% of the time the targets are not active untill i’m within range for it to fire at me.
And also it doesn’t make any sense to load up the HAD – check for the target, see if it’s active - then switch back to POS mode and fire.

Do you mean PB mode? It is for pre-briefed targets - the HARM fires out with a very small sensor area and homes in on the steerpoint with a 120 degree cone from a high angle of attack. It’s for when you make a target steer point in the 2d and then switch to PB in game. Just check out page 97 in the manual.
One instance in which you would NOT be able to use the HAD is if you are in a F-16 MLU. The MLU does not support the HTS, so your only option is to use the WPN modes.
