U5 doesnt work in 64 bit for me
-
I’ve just checked the 391.35 (391.35-desktop-win10-64bit-international-whql.exe) driver on Windows 10 Home 64bits Build 1709… no problem here, BMS 4.33.5 work like a charm in 64 bits mode.
Please check your driver installation process, if needed, reinstall drivers and/or BMS. Check your GFX card compatibility with drivers.

xinput3.dll once had a some kind of conjution with shadowplay and prevented me from launching BMS when I updated nVidia driver. Check windows error log to see is there any dll causing the problem.

Open “GeForce Experience”
Settings -> “IN-GAME OVERLAY” SETTINGS -> “Stream EXPERIMENTAL” -> “Play cooperatively” OFF
Works fine!!

I have done everything and I can’t find a solution. The problem is not with Nvidia. Nvidia does not call up benchmark sims and ask “hey is our driver working with your newest update?” In falcon bms setup.exe it shows U5 installed. Like I said, U5 runs in 32bit mode just fine. So there is something in the x64 files that aren’t in the x86 files that allow U5 to run in 64 bit. I’ve compared the x86 and x64 files and they are different. So anyone have a clue what the difference might be?
The first splash screen isn’t even properly showing. It only shows the white text at the bottom of the usual splash screen.
This is the technical support section so do benchmark guys ever reply to help solve issues?

One is optimised for 32bits, the other one is working only on 64bits.

Quality of support comes with the selling price of the product. And with the amount of details provided. What is you configuration (Windows … etc …)
Have you tried yo re-install BMS from scratch? -
Windows 10 Pro. i7-4790k gtx970 16gb. Everything up to date on drivers. The one thing I haven’t tried (because I’ve read it didn’t solve the issue for others) is fully uninstalling the game then reinstalling. I am hesitant to do so cause it’s so hard to set the controls up and fear not being able to import my current control setup. And not what I meant by what the difference is in 32bit vs 64 bit…lol

Uninstall/Reinstall is usually the first thing to do to confirm an issue.
Backup you Config folder so you won’t lost your “controls” … But before importing anything, try on a vanilla install.
Report for results.

Hi guys,
i have this problem with update 5 and 64 bit, my res 2560x1080 @ 75hz
only with vsync on. With out vsync works fine. I try with nvidia panel control and falcon set. All theaters.
last stable nvidia driver? -
Hawke04 Thanks so much for the tip regarding Coop play in NVidia…Was tearing my hair out trying to work out why it wasn’t launching in 64bit…Reinstalled numerous times to no avail…

BMS U5 is working no problem in 64 bits
if updating to newest drivers from Nvidia crashed the sim, the problem lies in Nvidia, not Benchmarksims
lol. With that attitude, you have a bright future as a software developer.

Had numerous problems with any Nvidia drivers newer that 385.41, YAME being one of the biggest issues. But also had Windows 10 problems with the latest Nvidia drivers also.
It’s related to my running a 3 screen setup on my 970’s, and 4th screen on integrated. I check each new version of the drivers and if issues appear go back to that 385.41 version. -
Good day.
I do not want to punch the page with a new thread, when updating the U5 there was something about the settings related to F-18 but for lack of time I decided to postpone it (unless it was a dream). I did not find it anywhere, it’s possible that this was going to happen during the upgrade ?.
