Hello,
today was a working fury.
Tons of Japanese music, some cold lemon juice, and here we go!
There is still lots of work on her.
But I think I have general shape.
More to come!
Stay tuned,

So, here we go!

This fighter is so charming!
Many people requested me to do KAI T-50, as it is very close from F-16. Nobody asked me FCK-1. But I loved this aircraft, which is also very close from F-16 for avionics and FLCS. Honestly, KAI T-50 is one of the ugliest aircraft on duty, in my very own and humble opinion.
So, I decided to make AIDC FCK-1.
Cheers,
Radium
F-16 and F-5 love child.

You’re on fire my friend… Is it the heat in France that has this effect on you?

Hello,
I’d like to share with you something there.
When I do a model, I also take time to know deeply what I’m doing. At least I try.
On FCK-1, something is written on front. However, I don’t speak Chinese. I would need from our Chinese and Taiwanese fellows their advice on this point!
Trying to guess the meaning with my Japanese language knowledge, I still have some doubt.
As you can see, the first caracter is not complex to guess. It’s old chinese so it’s normal Taiwanese use it (their writting style).
For second caracter, I’m not used to this writting form. It could mean, in old Japanese (not really in use nowadays : progress). Kanji combination would then mean “country progress”. But This is just a guess. Taiwanese / Japanese is closer than Chinese / Japanese, so, I think my hypothesis is relevant. Through the country wouldn’t look relevant…
But, I need help of our PRC and ROC friends, if you can give me some help on this translation issue!
Cheers,
Radium

first word 經 reads as Jing
second word 國 reads as Guowe (tw) give name to our manufactured aircrafts such as F-5E/F, AT-3 & F-CK-1
your picture is the written from right to left, at the starboard side
at the port side, the written is from left to right
you can google the IDF picture to see the difference easily.
but they are both correct, one is traditional written and another is modern.**as you may know that a chinese character could have several meanings.
經 (jing) is the horizontal line in the textile, another word… 緯 (wei) is the vertical line.
經緯 (jing-wei) brings another meaning which is “reasons & order” to the country (國, guo)
so there were bothers, 蔣經國(Jiang Jing-Guo) and 蔣緯國 (Jiang Wei-Guo).
Their father had wished his sons to correct the poor country back in time. -
Hello!
Thank you very much for your precious information.
I didn’t expected in this context to have an alternative right to left and left to write writing. This is very interesting. It’s then same than Japanese :
縦書き (tategaki), for top to bottom and right to left, which is the traditional writing style,
横書き (yokogaki), for left to right and top to bottom, more modern writing style.Yes, same in Japanese, same Chinese character can have different meanings :
仮設 (kasetsu), which means provisional has two kanjis : 仮, which is pronounced “kari” which means temporary, but also “acting” or “tasked” or even “informal”. 設, which is pronounced “setsu” means establishment. Kanji combination means provisional.
Nevertheless, I suppose that Chinese is much more complex than Japanese in term of different meanings, this is why I’m extremely happy that you, Chinese, Taiwanese fellows are helping me to make something accurate.
This is also my joy in doing 3D, learning about cultural stuff, especially in Asia. I never went in both Taiwan and China, but I surely would like to go there. There is indeed a place I’d love to visit in China which is Guilin.
It’s just magnificent.
Also, I’d like to go to Hehuanshan, in Taiwan
Thank you very much for your help!
A big WIP is coming. I try to bring FCK-1 to a level I personally never reached, within 30,000 triangle limit. I extremely happy with my results!
Stay tuned!

IDF FCK-1 經國 is for the commemoration Of Chiang_Ching-kuo, a great Chinese leader, former President of the Republic of China, son of Chiang Kai-shek, and also a Zhejing fellow of me .
IDF FCK-1 was developed during the period of Chiang_Ching-kuo’s rule and that was the most flourishing period in the history of Taiwan. The two characters 經國 is the last name of President Chiang_Ching-kuo
Ironically, some people in Taiwan now especially those who pro- independence do not respect President Chiang_Ching-kuo and his father Chiang Kai-shek both who lays the foundation for Taiwan’ ecnomy ,because they regard both Chiang as the symbol of authoritarianism even humiliate Chiang’s memorial hall , but in Mainland of china, many people like me still respect both Chiang and think of Chiang Kai-shek as a national hero to lead the Chinese national army to resist the foreign invasion even if he has faults.
So everytime I saw 經國 in the FCK-1, i had a deep feeling.

Just out of curiosity: is the cannon housing going to be purely defined by the skin? There doesn’t seem to be any contouring in the model that corresponds to it…

Don’t worry, there is still a lot of details to add, gun turret is one of them ! It will have its proper 3D model !

Hello!
I would need your help again!
To avoid mistakes, and to make it readable on this FCK-1, I would need these characters in computer vector format (not photo).
Then, I put some figures, to show what I would need.
I hope this picture will have proper quality to give you the possiblity to read it.
Could you just reply as a post of this thread if you can read it?
Thank you, dear Chinese friends,
Radium

apart from #4, i can read it.
all chinese description/markings are just the translation of English.

All these characters are the translation of English notice.
For example:
figure 1: tells maintenance men or rescuers how to eject plane’s canopy
figure 2: means “RESCUE”
figure 3: i can’t see those yellow characters clearly but i can tell you those characters are some kind of warning.
figure 4: can’t read that clearly . that’s not distinct。
figure 5: can’t read clearly. Maybe the door of electric motor but i don’t know what kind of motor.
figure 6: means " dangerous” because it’s the location of intake port.
figure 7: a notice about the location of intake port.
