What else do I need to change for FOV
-
I’ve set my FOV…. set g_fDefaultFOV 120. But it doesn’t matter what I set it to. I’m almost sitting on the HUD. I’m using Flounder’s profile and have the correct settings in the setup UI.
I really would like to see my feet in the pit.
In help would be appreciated.

Not sure why the FOV isn’t defaulting as you expect. Is it showing in the launch configurator as set to 120 after making the default change manually? In other words, is the manual change being recognized within the configurator?
As far as changing FOV, if you’re using my profile, I’m assuming an X-52 Pro, so the slider should act as an FOV adjusting axis. Just wondering if that is working properly?
-
Yes, when I use the slider it zooms in even closer.
I look in the Configuration and went through each one and no joy.

Hmmm. Not sure how to help with your original question/problem. I don’t have access to my game PC to look at files, etc. I would think it would work by the description of what you say you did in post #1.

This is a stab in the dark here but have you tried using the keyboard “L” function, which is look closer, but hitting it a second time takes you back to your original position.
In you case, you’d only have to press it once if that is the issue??

That’s not the problem. Wish it was that easy…even it made me look like a stupid dumb arse!
I’ver been trying to play BMS now for months.

There’s a config value for default FOV and another one for maximum FOV. You should ensure that maximum FOV is set to at least the default FOV value.
-
I look in the config folder but did not find a line to change the maximum in……unless I’ve good blind, probably not far off.
I need to use three pairs of glasses to do anything.
Update…did a search on the forum about maximum FOV. Found this…https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?26587-future-support-for-3-screens-users&highlight=maximun+fov
I did a new search in the config and did find the g_fMaximun file. I’m trying different settings for both files.
Give me a hint on what is the best settings are.

Give us a hint to give u a hint.
The info you provided is almost zero. Just that u want to change your for.
Total pit resolution, max number of monitors for pit - 3d display, monitors size?
Else our hint would be: use default values, they are fine.Στάλθηκε από το MI 5 μου χρησιμοποιώντας Tapatalk

Okay, gentleman…I think I can live with what I got now. Looking at the side panels isn’t quite what I want, but everything else is okay.

IIRC you are running triple screens. My settings for the .cfg are below.
Setting FOV’s the same keeps you from zooming out if using trackir and leaning back.
set g_fDefaultFOV 120
set g_fMaximumFOV 120
set g_fViewlimitPitchDown 90.0 - allows you to look straight down, works great for the side panels. -
Hey, thanks… I’ve got the 120’s set for FOV…the last one will be sweet as a fresh apple pie sitting on the window sill cooling!
