Happy 20th Anniversary to me!

… another 20 years !
Congrats Jody, :bdance::blowpar:
you’re a “Falconeerosaurus” and that beta stuff you’ve kept is
absolutely priceless. :bowd:It’s also very impressive to me that you’ve kept your enthusiasm
for this sim until today. :thumb:
… even those 20 years of Falcon 4.0 were never really boring.
Cheers, :yo:
LSAgreed! There was a couple years I didn’t fly Falcon at all around 2001 - 2003 but otherwise I have always been flying and it’s never not been installed in my computers. I certainly don’t fly a much as the first 10 years as I have been trying to complete these 1000 hours to reach 3000 in the last three years. Lol

Only 34 deaths in 20 years? Add a zero for me…
Dare I ask who has signed your manual?
-
Congrat for this relic!
Has any others who have same forgotten rare relic from the past 20 years ?( dev video , pic, or story) -
Marisa “No.19:” Ong From Falcon 3.0 and 4.0 is there.
From center of page go 10 o’clock
34 Naval Kills

Well being shot down and killed are two completely different categories. lol I am very reserved when I fly but I have been shot down 100s of times.
My understanding is all the major players signed it.

I’ve only been flying this sim about 2 1/2 years and I do not fly reserved or by SOP and i’ve got zero deaths and only one frat kill which wasn’t my fault the mig broke in front of an apache and the seeker on the 9m killed the apache. I’ve been hit by AAA and flown home, I’ve punched out but always been rescued. I think I’ve lost about six aircraft overall, that would be a cool stat to track… not bragging just thought it was an interesting thing. If I fly more I’m sure I’ll get shot down eventually. Been lucky I guess.

You are doing really, really good
However……
I’m feel quite sure the apache pilot is justifiably pissed right now.:D

This is amazing! Still remember opening my binder for the first time so long ago. And that intro STILL gives me chicken skin. “Looks like the start of a very BUSY day…”
Wish I still had my day 1 logbook.
Congrats to all; and Happy 20th Falcon (and Marvin157th)!!

Congrats but one question something smells fishy….
How did you get General with a FRATKILL pretty sure thats not possible unless you edited which is fine its your logbook but if so do tell.

I generally would not even answer this question specially when someone is calling me out and accusing me of posting bullshit. Not that I care if you believe me or not, but all I can say is other than editing lost hours (for example when I get a CTD I edited the hours back in because I value my flight hours) I have NEVER edited my rank or points. You don’t believe it? I don’t really care.
Checking the manual indicates to achieve General you only need 6400 points. No where does it indicate no frat kills for any rank as far as I can read.

Nice work! Yes sooner or later you’re going to get shot down. lol

LMFAO they really improved that video
-
I’ve played with my logbook with the editor shamelessly for 20 years…who cares either way…fly online and it will show right away if you pack the gear…
-
All I got from online flying was bullet ridden airplane, from butt spawn, not until I became a bomber pilot I took care of the nagging butt spawn, low level running and carefully timed bomb fuses did the trick, got a lot giggles from that ahhh good times

Dont be so sensitive there buddy….
All Im saying is I have heard that if you get a Frat Kill you cant make General I will look for the resource I never called you out just asking so cool your booties big dog.
The importance to me being that I have some frat kills and I didnt think I would ever make it past Capt but now you might have given me hope however if you edited that way than no hope for me because I have heard what I mentioned before.
Hmmm I think I got frat kills mixed with Campaign losses.

When you ask a legitimate question to someone and they respond in an defensive attacking manner……well then, they’re hiding something!!

That being said … I think I got frat kills mixed up with campaign losses. Its campaign loses that ruin your shot at General. I am not for sure where I heard about frat kills.

Some people insist that asking inappropriate blame-questions is harmless and cannot be annoying because the “truth” is important. People like Eric Cartman:roll:.

This is certainly a big day for me. 20 years flying Falcon 4.0 and I still have and maintain the same log book. 20 years of dedication and loving this hobby every single day. Of course big thanks to this community for keeping this sim updated and still the best in my opinion.
Here are some goodies for you… Photos of the Binder edition I received from the team with all their signatures (on this day 20 years ago). I did manage to keep and find one of my beta CDs from 1997 (at one point I had a whole bunch of them. Glad I kept at least one).
And of course here is a little treat for you… One of the original intro videos from the beta days that made us all cringe when we first watched it. Apparently Nascar was used as voice actors! lol
Lets see another 10 years!
JodyThat’s amazing. How did you get a binder edition with signatures from all members of the team? Also, who was on the team? Was it the original software developers from Microprose, or someone else?
