Invert Axes?
-
Is there a way to invert the pitch and roll axes? I have mine backwards and pushing forward makes the nose pitch up, left makes it roll right, etc…

Turn your stick 180deg around vertical axis
-
haha wish I could!
-
Settings… Go through advanced tab and select “reverse” for you pitch and/or roll.
-
cant check currently, but isnt pitch and roll like the only two axes that DONT let you reverse them?
-
Yes you are correct!
-
This post is deleted! -
yes, I couldn’t find the reverse either… It’s a T50 mongoose from Virpil that i had to mount backwards due to my setup. Other flightsims I just invert the axis in game, but can’t seem to figure it out with falcon bms
-
Haha
So finally I was right , your joystick is inverted
-
:spit:
-
Maybe you can…
Open joystick.cal with a binary editor and set both ADDRESS 14 and ADDRESS 30 to 01.
14 is for pitch and 30 is for roll. 01 means invert. -
any good binary editors? i tried with hex editors but can’t seem to find the two addresses mentioned. thank you.
-
I use FavBinEdit but its only on japanese.
I just searched now and Frhed seems good free binary editor.EDIT:
open joystick.cal in Frhed and edit here and here to 01.EDIT2:
sorry, it didn’t work. -
What kind of controller is it?
The answer to that question might help solving the problem.
If you are using the Thrustmaster HOTAS Cougar sidestick you could try the “Cougar Control Panel (CCP)” Software which can be downloaded on thrustmasters´ support website.
The control panel enables you to reverse axes and upload the setting to the stick.Regards!

EDIT: Sorry, I missed your answer in the following post. @mi6:
It’s a T50 mongoose from Virpil
So please disregard this post of mine :-S

Or another possible solution is to install virtual joystick. Synchronize your physical joystick axis movements to virtual joy, assigning BMS axis to virtual axis then invert them.
-
I am working with management and trying to get the pitch and roll axis inverted like the rest for 4.34.
-
Doesn’t the Virpil software allow curves natively? If so, it would make more sense to invert the curves there.
-
How hard would it be to invert two wires on a pot ?
You had to invert your stick for reasons I don’t really understand , just unsold and sol the wires on the pots to revert the axis
-
I agree, my initial impression with this was that the X and Y axis were connected or soldered wrong
I Don’t see why we should add a way to invert axis because one guy in the whole Community has an issue probably induced by operator error -
Well in my case using a real SSC its not that easy… But more so, why not? All the other axis have the option to invert? Why not the pitch and roll?
