Thanks for the pdateclarification, sad to hear that.

Hello,
Thank you for your interest on the Mirage F1. As Radium said the development was stopped for quite some time now. Nevertheless, I worked on it recently to correct some of the issues encountered. I expect to give you some news in the following weeks. The current version is a CR for the cockpit and the external model.
Converting the external model to a CT will be straightforward but much work is needed for the cockpit conversion.I plan to finally release the external model of the F1 for the next update. As a working cockpit is much more complicated and I need experience with that, I cant give a precise timeline.
Cheers,
Gudule -
Thanks Gudule for the update. a CR will be cool for Desert Storm operation, or for the french, Op.Daguet.
-
Some ongoing developments, I’m correcting some old mapping issues we had with Radium. I also remodeled the airbrakes to a more accurate and fine shape. Next steps will be to ensure that all the mapping is properly updated. After what I will pursue the work started by Radium on the texture.
Cheers

Nice job, Gudule!
Looking forward to it, it would make a great addition to Moroccan and Spanish airforce in POH.Cheers!

It would also come in very handy for a Desert Storm theater - and also could be used in the Israeli theater (if someone would script Jordan into a campaign) and the Balkans campaigns set in the 90s.

I had a dream… about seeing it in action and in Nevada, wouldn’t make a bad impression there.
With best regards.
-
Hellenic colors too would be interesting… (althought Manos has one model in the plans if I am not mistaken).
-
JFYI - not a request! Ghost camo.
-
I never saw them in that colour, only the complete dark blue scheme. They must have gotten the ghost scheme shortly before retirement?
-
Yes, this ghost camo was tested in a couple birds successfully over Aegean with excellent results. All rest airframes had the standard Aegean Blue camo, and retirement came first before painting whole fleet.

Here’s one of the last Mirage F1CT I shot at Reims before they retired and only the F1CR remained. (Will the CR also get modeled?)
And here’s a Spanish Air Force C.14 in special markings at Neuburg during ELITE 2005:
This isn’t a great photo but 2 minutes after I shot this C.14, it was a smoking hole in the ground. It suffered an engine fire and the pilot punched out. I suppose this is the last ever photo taken of this particular F1.
It was quite surreal to see the black plume of smoke in the distance and the fire trucks racing by, literally minutes after watching it take off.
-
Been on the Albacete retirement cerimony of the Spanish Mirage F.1, so I hope to see it one day in BMS.
-
Some news, I modified the front mapping and put a new base texture on it prior to the more detailed overlays. Next step is to keep mapping and texturing other parts of the plane.
-
:woohoo:

Small Bump…
Is this project dead? Im planning doing this model for POH but since its already pretty advance on your side i wonder how its moving.
Cheers

Hello,
Yes, it’s dead.
Manos did a very nice Mirage F1, maybe you don’t need to make a new one ?
Cheers,
Radium

…Was it actually released? If so, where?
