@Red:
soldering one is easy. The hard part is unsoldering the faulty one when you need to salvage the PCB
Hello Red Dog,
I soldered all the PCBs just one night.
But still, a headache :) -

No!
I prefer cryptocurrency. -
If you buy a microstick from TM for 6 Euros you can afford a decent solder sucker and soldering iron and save a ton of cash. A good solder sucker makes it much easier to unsolder the board. Approx. 15 minutes for me and my soldering skills suck. Pun not intended LOL

malpasoYup. A good solder sucker and 6 Euros and you have a repaired microstick. Its not that hard as the video shows and it is very cheap to do. No need to pay $200 USD for something you can do for $7 USD and a solder sucker.

I came here to say solder sucker and you beat me to it. An invaluable tool when ‘undoing’ solder joints as RD alluded to earlier.

Just fyi I contacted TM France yesterday and they regret they have no microstick RDR pots left. I’m stuck.

That one needs a custom board due to the z-axis switch being external. The one linked by Icarus looks like a drop in.
You could always just swap the pots as I did. I took them from an old PS2 controler

Hi Icarus, many thanks indeed for that. I’ve “requested a quote” and maybe they’ll take pity on a customer who wants just 2 units (replacement plus spare)! I’ll report back on the outcome.

AlanIf they won’t sell 2 maybe you can get enough takers here to order their minimum.
