@Xeno said in PICO4 - once in SteamVR, how do I actually start BMS into VR 3D?:
In short you need to have installed:
Steam + SteamVR
streaming app on your PC + client app on HMD. Two most common are VirtualDesktop and ALVR
Launch procedure for Virtual Desktop:
you launch streamer on you pc, app on your HMD, on firt connection on PC accept connection.
Once you can see your desktop in HMD just start the new BMS launcher (former Alternative Launcher).
There should be slider for enable/disable VR, Make sure it’s set to enabled, click launch button.
Full VR will kick in once you commit to the 3D world.
Hi Xeno,
I have SteamVR installed, Virtual Desktop Streamer on my PC and Virtual Desktop on the VR.
When I put the VR on, I click on Virtual Desktop and after a second or two my desktop is shown and the VD takes over approximately half the display. Do I need to click on Open SteamVR at this time? Or do I simply start BMS in the normal manner?
If I click Open SteamVR I get to the Steam page (I can start ACC fine from here but no way to start BMS).
I f I start BMS from my Windows desktop, eventually SteamVR kicks in and says Falcon BMS next up… but once the sound comes through, the VR display is like a 3D world with a flat panel in, on which I occasionally get a frame or two of BMS 3D but it is mostly just black.
Frustrating, especially as I had it working previously with VD on my daughters partners Pico (about a month back) and yesterday with Streaming Assistant (albeit not great visuals)…
