Falcon BMS Alternative Launcher (Easy Setup, Keep Joystick Assignments)

Can you change the keymapping screen so that it requires you to double click the specific control you wish to change? The current way of doing it feels sensitive and it’s very easy to change a bind by mistake, it’s made worse by not having a undo button.
I just committed the latest development branch which will have a new KeyMapping window opens with double-clicking, It will be in next update but I test before release.

Released v1.40.
Now you have Key Mapping Window so less chance to accidentally assign wrong key.https://github.com/chihirobelmo/FalconBMS-Alternative-Launcher/releases/tag/v1.40

Wow, I did not expect you to implement this that fast. Thanks!

I love this program but any reason why the throttle section doesn’t show up when I select it?
Every other section works fine.
Thanks a lot

Could you check this line?
There is an issue sometimes this 9th “description” line changes its “=” number.SimDoNothing -1 0 0XFFFFFFFF 0 0 0 -1 “======== 2.19 THROTTLE QUADRANT SYSTEM ========”

Will adding ====== fix this?
Ive tried but I’m struggling to get it to save.

struggling to get it to save? what’s happening?
You add '='s and save but won’t apply to the file? -
When I assign two dials to the COMM Ch1 and COMM Ch2 axes, nothing happens in the simulator. The axes look fine in the launcher.

Does it work in BMS SETUP->CONTROLLERS->ADVANCED->AUDIO CONTROL?
-
Yes, but it does nothing to the volume knobs (or volume) in the sim.
-
How about actual volume? IIRC in BMS switch does not animate if you set it to axes.
-
Is it just me or are you guys also unable to rebind awacs menu, wingman, etc ? ( basically in the progam… all the ones under keymapping with green text )
i made a mistake by rebinding my W key and now i have no access to my wingman menu
-
Maybe you need to rebind AWACS menu manually(by a text editor)… or start from stock BMS-FULL.key again(check User/Config/Backup).
I will make alt launcher to avoid rebinding AWACS menu in the next update. -
This is incredible work, I thank you from the bottom of my heart!
This really should be the default launcher, god knows how many people put BMS down due to the archaic button mapping with the default install/launcher. (You don’t know how many times I gave up in frustration)
I have been trying to get these controls right for weeks. I took no time at all to map the buttons I remembered, I did have a problem figuring out the shift but that was the part that I needed the most and once I had it down it became a breeze.
THANK YOU!!

I can’t thank you enough for your work on this project. I’ve tried in years past to manufacture a shifted state for that warthog throttle, never could. This works like magic, after I realized you must install your software on a vanilla BMS.
Could you explain in greater detail how to set up a simple on/ off switch with the two callbacks, Jammer on/Jammer off. I think I’ve tried every combination, but probably not. I must be missing something, help please.
I would really like to be able use this instead of throwing the toggle switch twice for off and on.

I’ve done this already. Its really easy. If you have a switch that you want an on-off setup what you have to do is assign the on portion then when assigning the off portion you have to select release first then set the switch to on. So that will tell BMS that when this switch releases from ON then it is OFF.
-
Thank you, I will try this, although I don’t intend to use a four-way hat switch. I will try this with the EAC switch on the warthog throttle.
I apologize, I completely blew over your instructions. You can do incredible things with your software and it works! I just set the F-16 autopilot up completely with the autopilot toggle on the warthog. I use the autopilot on button, as the paddle switch, works great. I use the paddle switch as shift/modifier because I have short stubby small hands…As far as I am concerned, you made falcon history.

If Toggle Switch is DXn try this.
SomethingCallbackOn DXn INV : DN
