Can't play at high resolution!
-
Hello Benchmark Sims,
I can’t get into the menu with 5760x1080 120hz resolution, but full hd 1920x1080 works hope you can implent it in near future. So i can enjoy on my 3xAsus MG248 monitor.
Kind Regards

Unfortunately, the current 2D menu is fixed to 1024x768 resolution, which sounds like being scaled to full-screen on your computer. The 3D world definitely supports higher resolutions than that, and they may be selected from the in-game graphics settings.
-
Are you using a Nvidia Surround or Eyefinity for AMD and setting your screen resolution to 1 large screen @ 5760x1080? I run 5911x1080 using Bezel Correction in Nvidia.
The 2d menu is fixed as johku said, but the 3d world should render on all 3 screens once you get into the pit, if you select that resolution in the setup screen as linked below.
Resolution SetupAlso make sure to right click on the BMS launch icon and disable fullscreen optimizations under the Compatibility tab.

Yes of course i’m using Nvidia Surround with bezel correction, but it seems it didn’t support it, i can’t click in menu and nothing happend, beside nvidia surround i have monitor with 144 hz as well. it shows the menu and when i tried to navigate or click it goes black and then it disable nvidia surround by it self. So i doin’t think the faclon bms is fully compatible with Surround/Eyefinity yet.

I’m at 5760x1200 and surround works just fine.
What you describe is not very comprehensive to me.
Which menu?
Navigate?
Click where?I didn’t do anything special.
I set surround. I see my 3 monitors desktop as it should be 1 2 3.
I run falcon, i go to setup, graphics, i select my resolution 5760x1200 60hz (my monitors are all 60hz).
I open a mission i select fly and there it is in all of its 5760x1200 glory in 3d.
For better performance run falcon in window mode. U add -window at the end of the falcon bms shortcut.
Like “executablename.exe” -window
If you dont know how its in the manual. Please be detailed on your posts to help you out.
Are all your monitors on the same refresh rate? You mentioned 144hz? If not then select a resolution 5760x1080 at min refresh rate. The minimum refresh rate will be the one of your monitor with the slowest refresh rate. If one of the 3 monitors is at 60hz then select this.

To get full high definition video sometimes you have to right click on the BMS game icon on your desktop and click on properties for me I only get 4k game resolution by using the Windows 8 mode. I run Windows 10. Good luck.

Srry for being obscure, i meant the Main menu doesn’t work with 120 or 144Hz only 60hz as you said. If i try 120hz it just hangs and goes black and suddenly disable my surround setup automatically, because i use displayport for higher framerates.
And i use Win 10 Pro 64x build 1809. Yes all my 3 monitor are at 120Hz, and i realy want to play in fullscreen if that will be possible i don’t like windowed mode.Hope this explain a bit more.
Kind Regards

e33etThis isn’t a native BMS issue with NVidia Surround but something else with your configuration. I use 3x 2k monitors at 144Hz adaptive refresh (7840x1440 in bezel corrected NVidia Surround) without any issues you are talking about. I am running Windows 7 64 bit versus Windows 10 though. My older monitor setup was 6010x1080 bezel corrected. I’ve been running BMS in this kind of setup for the better part of a decade.

Another someone not bothering to supply system specs while asking for a fix.
FULL SYSTEM SPECS.
Yes of course i’m using Nvidia Surround ,So i doin’t think the faclon bms is fully compatible with Surround/Eyefinity yet.
How would anyone know and how would you know ?
PS: There are many of us that have run 3 screens without to many problems for many, many years , so it is supported well enough.

yea if you assumed they use @60hz and not play at @120hz or @144hz with g-sync surround monitor also in fullscreen mode not windowed mode. And i’ve got the latest BMS installed.

e33et, you are not using any scaling other than 100% on the displays are you?
Seem to recall someone had an issue with that messing up BMS. -
okey, nope didn’t use the scaling at that time. But i shal try that joku suggest with set g_bAllowAllRefreshRates 1 in the falcon bms.cfg to see if it repsonse better.
-
I have not touched that setting and I am playing Falcon BMS in 3840 x 1080 @ 144 Hz without issue.
-
Have you also tried to disable full screen optimization in windows 10 for falcon?
