Guys,
What is in your opinion more time consuming task? Creating tiles, creating transitions, editing paths/areas, making sets or applying tiles manually on the terrain? -
Editing paths/areas really wouldn’t be much of a task, BUT in BMS just about every water tile(coastal) needs to have plains areas and if you’re going to use the shader on rivers then theres additional work, lots of it.
I’d say they all rank pretty close to the same time consumption. Of course that all depends also on how nice you want it to look. I never really intended to get into terrain but I have, which in the end is good as I’ll need it for my next adventure.;)
I’ve already seen some stuff that was just thrown together so it didn’t take any time at all, old terrain tiles, low res, no real proper paths or areas, etc. And the end result was quite grotesque.

Guys,

Creating tiles, creating transitions, editing paths/areas, making sets or applying tiles manually on the terrain?the last one for me for sure, it’s not that hard for small areas, but when you have to edit almost all the 64 segs it’s really time consuming and BORING, that said you don’t have the percepition of terrain elevation and 3d models on it as you cannot fly it (that would add more time consuming), so will make “another pass” to control also all of thouse.
creating good tiles is harder, but less time consuming imho compared to fine edits to the L2 files -

Is there anyone willing to model the PAF UCAVs and Indian UAVs?
