Confused about finding key bindings.

I have now upgraded to BMS 4.34 from BMS 4.32.
I noticed that the new key bindings are probably different in some areas then what my setup is….I want to change the bindings to what I am use to and programmed in my HOTAS or change HOTAS to match 4.34 bindings,
But I find the definitions in BMS 4.34 very different in the naming convention, and can’t seem to find some of the really useful key bindings that I need on my HOTAS.For example…
Looking for the RADAR Key bindings such as:Radar Gain Decrease / Increase
Radar Range Increase / Decrease
Radar Antenna Tilt up / down / center
Radar ACM 30x20 / Skewable / Vertical
Radar GM snowplow
Radar HSD Range Increase / Decrease
Radar target Lock / Next / Previous
Radar Designate target
Radar Return to Search
Among a few…

Sounds like most of what you’re looking for is under 6.02 SHORTCUTS (e.g. SHORT: Radar Range Up). Keep in mind these are not realistic controls and are likely only kept as legacy.
BMS has changed much over the years and now the HOTAS controls can be used for pretty much everything the shortcuts have covered in the past. For example, I too use the radar range up/down shortcuts simply because it’s faster and more convenient than the more realistic controls, however this is normally done by either bumping the cursor at the top or bottom of the FCR display or using OSB 19 and 20 (left top).
You should check out the controls under 2.19 THROTTLE QUADRANT SYSTEM and 5.11 FLIGHT STICK. And, of course, RTFM if you got the time.

I have now upgraded to BMS 4.34 from BMS 4.32.
I noticed that the new key bindings are probably different in some areas then what my setup is….Most of the changes were made for 4.33, with accompanying documentation showing what had changed. 4.34 just added a few callbacks to support the new features.
You haven’t specified which HOTAS you are using, so I’ll just point out that there are a number of HOTAS setups ready to use in your \Falcon BMS 4.34\Docs\01 Input Devices\03 HOTAS Setup folder. If you wanted to get flying and work out how you wanted to customise your setup later that could be an option.
Key files are explained in Chapter 10 of the Technical Manual if you want to understand the current format, or you could just use the BMS Key File Editor to create a custom key file for you. This can be found in the \Falcon BMS 4.34\Docs\01 Input Devices\02 Key File Editor folder, with a manual explaining how to get the most out of it.
