How do I program my Throtlle switches not using Target software

Can you confirm that you extracted those files into your Falcon 4.34 /bin/x86/ folder? It won’t work if you just click on the files in the original download folder, they have to be moved into the falcon 4.34 directory. Be sure that you are actually extracting the files, and not just copying them from the zipped download file (the one that looks like it has a zipper on it) If you have not extracted them, just highlight that folder, right click, select “extract files” and extract them. You can extract them in your same download location and then copy them to your falcon /bin/x86/ folder, or extract them directly to that folder.
If you have done this, and the game does not launch when you double click on the hub.exe file…
Can you confirm that you have downloaded the dlls.zip from the download page and used the same process to extract those files and place them in your falcon 4.34 /bin/x86/ folder. Once those files are in there you should be able to click on “hub.exe” and the program will run.

For some reason, there was issue with the BMS I did a fresh install and it was able to launch
-
Now that I got it working I was trying to set Cursor X and Y but when I assign one the other goes away. Also the Trim Panel nothing happen. I also do have other tips on setup?
-
for cursor x and cursor y, first assign both axes to “keyboard”, then you should be able to select the WT microstick axes again.
Also make sure you read the excellent section on DX programming in the BMS manual (in your BMS docs folder).
Cheers, Uwe

In the Alt Launcher, there is a section called “AxisAssign”. Just like “KeyMapping”, it’s used to assign the Axis. Once in that section, an “Avionics & Radio” section. Click into it… You’ll see TQS (Throttle Quadrant System), manipulate the mini-stick somewhat and then click both associated Assign buttons. You can assign all the axis of your various devices in the various AxisAssign sections.

I got it thanks.

I have a Warthog setup myself not using Target for anything. Use the Alt Launcher for BMS to program all the switches for the Stick and Throttle (with the exception of the POV switch on the throttle). For the throttle POV switch, you can use VoiceAttack (available on Steam for less than $10) and YOU WILL want to use it for the voice part, guarantee… The throttle POV button programming is just the cherry on the topping.
alt launcher here: https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?31774-Falcon-BMS-Alternative-Launcher-(Easy-Setup-Keep-Joystick-Assignments)&highlight=alt+launcher
edit> you’ll have additional questions using alt launcher and possibly VoiceAttack. Just pop in here and ask away. I’ll check in every once in a while to help you over the stumbling blocks (like I had a few days ago, LOL)
Gray you have been a great help thank you very much. With the Throttle POV I just want to be clear, oh, by the way, I have Voice Attack anyway how are you using the POV I was thinking of using it as Radar up and down and radar range? Also how are you using the Paddle and pinky switch? Also still can’t figure out how to do the switches. I want a switch for example CAT I up and CAT III down.

When you pull up the normal voice/key input box via new command or edit, you’ll see a when I press button box… across from it/to the right, there’s a corresponding box to press. Press it, and an input box pops up. There’s a small reset box to click if any thing extraneous shows up or if you make an error… Once cleared or whatever, just press POV up or whatever to assign to the key. BINGO… . DONE. Next Command… Simple as that.
edit> incidentally, you don’t even have to verbalize anything, but you know you have to give it a name anyhow, and of course, using VoiceAttack to do anything, you have to have a key assigned to the function… but you probably already know that.
edit> did you happen to program any buttons that required action on “spring back to center” or something like that? That was a little tricky also, but I got it.

Wait, one thing at a time.:p Let me get the basics. How do you program the switches on the Throttle? I see on guys on Youtube have switches that have two commands the switch-up is one command and down is another command instead of off. So two commands on one switch. How do you do that? After I get that I can work on more advance stuff.

I thought you might want to know how to set up the shift button, Waited for you to ask… Setting up Shift functions is a two step process… first you have to define the button you want to use as the <shift>button. So let’s assume you want to use the normal S3 Pinky button at the bottom of the Stick… again using the Alt Launcher and the KeyMapping section… Search for pinky in the search box… you’ll get two results… the one you’re interested in is STICK: PINKY SWITCH (DX SHIFT). Leave the other one alone… Double click on STICK: PINKY SWITCH (DX SWITCH) to get the input box… Hit Clear DX if anything is there, then push the KEYCOMBO / PINKYSHIFT button to turn it white. When it’s white, Press the button on the stick you want to be the <shift>button. Presumably, you’ll press the bottom Pinky button S3. When you do, you’ll see JOY2 DX3, DX3 SHFT;. If so. you did it correct, press the Save button and you have the Shift button defined. That’s step !.
Step 2:
Let’s say you want to define the Paddle Switch DX4 as the wheel brake when shifted. Search for wheel… You’ll find CKPIT: Wheel Brakes - Hold… Double click on it… Clear DX if necessary… turn the KEYCOMBO / PINKYSHIFT white again. Press the Paddle Switch… You should see JOY 2 DX4 SHFT;… If so, press the Save button and you have a button defined to work with the Pinky Shift button… Do the same for any other Stick and/or Throttle buttons.I imagine you want to know how to program the switches that return from forward or back, if you know what I mean… Take a look at this, you might get an idea: http://www.mediafire.com/file/uigjrlbkn44xtob/Custom__F4BMS_TM_Stick-Throttle_Layouts.xls/file
This is my current Warthog Stick and Throttle Layout… You’ll need either Open Office or MS Excel to look at it. You’ll notice some switches that have (Ctr from Fwd),and (Ctr from Back)
If you do, let me know… It’s 3:00 AM, here, so I’ll catch you later… Have fun ;)</shift></shift> -

Thanks for the info, Gray.
I went into VA and inputted a new “Comm Down”. I set the keypress to the End key, and saved it . The command is now in my VA profile. However, when I check the " when I press button", the select box pops up and says joystick and button are not set,and does not recognize the button push (throttle pov down) . -
Have you gone into the VA settings and set your joystick? It won’t recognize the button press if you don’t do this first.

What 84hd79 is saying is to enable your joystick on the main screen before editing profiles… It looks like a game controller icon to the right on the opening VoiceAttack screen. It’ll toggle between Joystick Enabled and Joystick Disabled
